I love it all the same. But seriously, can't wait to hear from the real JS ("Would the real John Shafer please stand up?") However I honestly think he will be inundated by posts asking "What happened with Civ V and between you and Firaxis?". That will be dull. Like this post said, forget 2010, bring in 2011!

To all those who doubt what magic can be created on this earth Let me bring peace to your.... Pagan Fears
Rock on! Bring on the mayhem!
 Who the heck signed in as John Shafer? Priceless. If it is the real Shafer, get an avatar dude [e digicons][/e]
Check this out: http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=32314&page=1 A Dom 3 map with 1200+ provinces! Try playing that as LA Ermor!
Provinces with elephants in I tend to avoid until I have a good strategy to deal with them. A size 6 Super Combatant pretender will kick them to the curb no worries. If your still playing heres a tip to rebuild an army, spend some of that massive fire gem income Abysia by researching Conjuration 2 and doing a mass casting of Fire Drakes. Set them up in small groups so that in combat they will be just behind the infantry. The tough as nails infantry hold the line while t
Make sure you go to the official forums (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=138) and check out the strategy guides, but don't read too deeply, play the game some and learn how it runs. A good first nation to try vs the AI is early era Abysia. Don't worry about the blood magic at all, as a beginner its better to learn the other aspects of how the game plays before doing the Blood Economy thing. You have 100% fire resistant troops and mages capable of spamm
I have not played the demo so don't know what nations are in it to play, which nation and era did you choose? If you want to rush in the early game choose whats termed as a "Super Combatant" (SC) pretender. The Cyclops is a great example, especially if you give it more earth magic, no independent will stand in your way. Its base 20 protection, plus 1 for every level in earth magic means most indies don't have the hitting
A little of MP, I enjoyed it and could see that you learn much more because the AI isn't as crafty as a human player. I still enjoy SP after a long period of owning it because Dominions is fantastic imagination juice.
Cyber Empires http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/206/Cyber+Empires.html Dominions III is a game that is always on my hard-drive. It can be micromanagement hell but its so fun to kit out thugs and spam spells.
I love these guessing threads :) Come on, a bit more info please. Is it in the theme of Master of Magic with building and research or more of a pure wargame like Battle for Wesnoth?
Happy New Year 2011! Peace on earth [e digicons]:inlove:[/e]
There is not some massive thread locking going on. I'll post in the misc UFO thread that I believe in UFO's but I won't support this thread locking conspiracy theory crap.
I have 5 year old laptop. 1.8 dual core, 1Gb, 256 ATI X1400 mobility. Civ V runs fine in strategic display mode, I can't play it with "graphics". [e digicons]^_^[/e]
You all are aliens and I'm the only human left...
And he's an alien.
I've played a lot of T.o.M.E. some years ago, the new engine looks nice :) Here is another Rogue-like of considerable quality: Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup http://crawl.develz.org/wordpress/
Viva la revolution! :P

So what was the game?
I'm trying to write a post in less than 5 minutes to describe the differences between two space themed TBS's, give me a break :P Congrats Ryat on your answer. I have no idea if it is correct but you seem a reputable sort with 128 karma :)
http://www.disclosureproject.org/access/aboutexecsumm.shtml Quite a list of names of people officially going on the record as saying something is going on. If I believe what reporters and news stories say, from people I have no idea about their integrity, then I'd have to say there is reason to assume such a diverse number of people can be trusted.
Hivers do. Play as the Hivers without constructing lanes and enjoy. If we are being correct, Humans and Zuul can navigate without lanes. Which is slower, their movement without lanes or Hiver movement without lanes? Person with the correct answer wins a prize! :) Essentially my point is each species has a unique rule of movement.
