Got home today and saw an update was available. Double clicked it to install and it launched the intro movie. After installing the update when prompted it is back to being non responsive. My situation is identical- it simply fails to launch. I also disabled all of my firewall (McAfee) settings and entered "please ravage my computer" mode and it still fails to work. I will admit that knowing I can return the game if this is not fixed does offer some comfort.
