Quoting Lucifon, reply 110 Not in stores thats for sure. Online. Play.com, Shopto, etc often offer new titles for that price. Demigod was £17.99 on Play.com at launch. Over here, sometimes shops sell games as bait products, i.e. at lower than normal price to get the customer there and buy other stuff too. But still most games sell at full price, which is normally 400SEK or more (just about €40
Quoting Lucifon, reply 98 Very expensive for us UK gamers Can pick up alot of PC new releases for £18-£20 off sites here, Elemental is £32 for the digital download, probably a tad more when you get to the final price - stuff usually is on Impulse. But no retail version of the game over here. £18-20 for a newly released boxed PC game sounds extremely low. Most new PC games cost dou
Hate to say it. But i agree. I know all the reasons behind the decision. . . but someone who hasn't kept up with the game and buys it it based on a preview or simply seeing the box isn't going to give a rat's ass.
Thats my point exactly. I completely understand the reasons and accept them personally. But, like Demigod, I can see the game getting hurt significantly because of it. We can all act macho on the int
You're seriously not giving us multiplayer until next week?
Appreciate the sleepless nights and work gone into getting the game up in time but this just seems like a repeat of Demigod all over again on the forums. Dates for seriously important things moving back. What if your general consumer walks into a store, picks up a copy of the game, and starts playing it then decides to jump on Multiplayer but haven no luck. Are the
Appreciate the official word on this Frogboy :)
Because we paid full whack for the game at launch which was broken and almost unplayable, and this was to say sorry basically, yet the lack of paypal use with it means its not usable for me and problably alot of other europeans too - not really a very good sorry wouldn't you agree?
Wow seriously you cant use paypal with a coupon... Maestro is never supported from US based stores which means I cant use it either - and I'm sure alot of people from Europe are in the same boat. Was going to get the Kudos games but now you miss out on a sale. Whats with the short coupon lifespans and these crappy restrictions?
Thanks for the updates. And yes keep these coming!! A problem with so many bigger developers now is that they barely communicate to their community. Keeping your community involved in both ideas and and updates being made certainly seems to produce the best results and it keeps everyone interested, excited and confident in the dev team. Keep up the good work :)
Play skirmish whilst you wait :)
Fantastic work on the guides. Going to give them a read now as I'm new to the DOTA'esque genre :) These should help alot.
Any update on when this is getting fixed, pretty annoying?
When is the proxy server update rolling out to hopefully fix many of our connection woes?? I've been busy programming Pong in XNA today for my Uni Cwk so i'm slightly out of date with the news.
Gameranger doesnt start my game when a host fires it up. No idea why its happening as i posted in another thread. Looks like i'll have to stick with the broken normal connecting.
Quoting Lucifon, reply 3 I cant get it to work if anyone could help me. It seems gameranger isn't even attempting to fire up the game, it goes from joining game to returning from game instantly. In GameRanger options its all aiming at the right .exe and folder etc. Version .93 trying to

I often chat but noone replies :( Kinda annoying. I'm sure some of this is down to the fact due to the crappy multiplayer setup at the moment I only ever get in 2v2s
/signed Playing with Bots when I chose to play with humans just ends up feeling "pointless"
Sorry for the noob question. So favor points are the persistant aspect of the game? In the pantheon everyone works for that side to win the overall tournament for either side, right? How are they awarded? And when do the pantheons end - when one team wins or a timer? Also can you switch sides after a pantheon is over? Sorry for the questions, and to slightly hijack the thread but its related. So far i've barely got any :( But I've only played 3-4 matches. Have to say if
Thanks Frogboy do you have any idea when next week - towards the end or early in the week? I never really played much DOTA on WC3 (only abit) but I'm absolutely loving the game. Problem is I, like the OP, always end up with 2v2's which often result in 1 or more people leaving the match turning it into a bot match.
1.00 is the same version I have....works fine. Well fine as in I can play when the servers decide to find a match :P
Id really really like a right click and move mouse to turn the camera angle. Really annoys me having to press a key to tilt the camera, especially when everytime you die it goes and pans the camera on an angle, which I then have to reset each time.
No fixes will be made until next week now which is abit of a bummer :( Kinda makes me not want to play until this stuffs sorted. It's still super difficult to get in a game and theres still really big issues :(
Great list. I was thinking you meant which Demigod's need to be better. Which on that note I really really would like to see ...Reg (? - crossbow guy) get a visual revamp. He looks like an absolute goon, yet he suits my playstyle more than any of the others. One of the most unnapealing characters there which is really annoying as some of the character designs are fantastic. I know many will say who cares if you enjoy how he plays but its actually quite an essential "feeling". For exam
Pretty sad, but this is exactly why I have avoided even trying Hamachi despite the good things I've heard about it. A good service, capable of letting you play when you have issues with a companies matchmaking system, but its infested with pirates.
Why avoid it? Myself and friends use it often when games have poor servers online etc. It just runs alot smoother when all we want to do is CPU matches o
