Something I would like to see one day is a U3 Compatible version of Object Desktop. A U3 version of this would allow you to take your desktop look where ever there is a Windows XP Computer without the need to install additional components on their machine. When the U3 Device is ejected, the desktop goes back to the way it loo

Oh, and the SKINS themselves need to have tags....not categories!!! Update the library so I can find interesting things, not the "top 10" or "last 10". Definately more abstract than just searching by words and categories. When I search for skins I want to see things like: 1. Singel view of all skins made with the same template/family. 2. Skins that are "dark" or follow a type of color scheme And one last thing..

I agree with almost all of this. I knew things had gotten bad when ObjectBar 2 was FINALLY released and there's STILL no skins for it. However like the article says I do see that Stardock products are CONSISTANTLY better technically (in capabilities, stability and features) than anything they compete with. I also browse by the forums once in a while and see very little of any interest. This has always been the case, but the le

PLease please please..... I need the ability to select what keystroke will scroll the screen. My Nostromo directional pad does not properly support scrolling in GalCiv, because the map-scroll requires a SHIFT.

I LOVE the templates feature idea. When I play, maybe times my tech advancement didnt happen how I would have hoped, and my normal ship-designs are out of reach. Due to being short on time, (or just bored with ship design) I all too often grab a default hull and just drop weapons on it in a hurry. I end up with a fleet of similarly-ugly ships. I might go so far as to say that most of the basic included designs should be turned into templates. Most of them are useless

I might be the only person who wants this, but I'd like to be able to configure the keys used to scroll the screen. (and other hotkeys for that matter) My main problem is that the scrolling requires the shift-key. This creates a problem with advance gaming controllers that cannot emulate a shift+holding a key down.

I just thought of something this program needs. It needs a drag-able application selector like DesktopX has so that you dont have to search for EXE's to make a particular window semi-trans.

I'll never understand all of this stuff. I do consider myself a pretty big geek, but for as long as I've been building computers for myself... ...my goal was always to get them smaller and quieter.....not bigger and more flamboyant, with more fans. If you ask me, a PC should be about half the size of a laptop, with 1 plug for power and one for display. Everything else (including optical drives) should be wireless and seperate

nice brain storming I think the key to gadget "conent" lies in WinFS. To have meaningful ways to access your data.....always visible....is very much desireable screen space. For instance, accessing your music collection instintaneously (no long cacheing of Windows media catalog). PLaying file types in their "native" player. Easily switching

I don't even know the feature set that's been worked on but i've wanted this forever. I'd love to see randomized sounds for certain things....so if you minimize 4 windows in a row they each execute a different sound from the "minimize group" of sounds. Also widget compatibility, ie..."announce the current time", "say the temp in F", "Fatal Stop in abc.exe", etc etc. *grin*

How many troops were in Saddam's army when we entered Iraq? 30,000? I think it was numbered at 300,000. ' Where are they now? I dont think that 270,000 of them are in Cuba. How about all those initial reports of the USA, "softening up the forces around Baghdad". I wonder if when they said "softening the forces" they meant talking to them nicely and disabling their vehicles....or droping heavy ordinance on tens of thousands.

WOW! I totally agree with you!!! Everytime I get something in clam-shell packaging I curse the gods (right after I'm done tending to the various scratches and battle wounds on my hands)

Icon she is but she still is ignored by her own people; just the rich white folks visit her studo. Where are her people? They egnore her because she is not with them. Barcm If you agree with Mr. Freeman, you still have a long way to go yourself.

2. Just because you don't see all the awesome things that some people do with it does'nt mean that they are not or will not be using your software. I personally love taking all the "un-functional" desktops and recreating them with my own talents and making them functional for me. I don't repost them because I feel it could be ins

Input from someone who has used DesktopX since early 0.x betas: 1. PLEASE, make a 2-pane object browser already. There's no need to have all these seperate windows and sub-editors. Tree-view object-list on the left...property pages to the right. When a "root object" is selected it shows a custom config page (much like a widget's option box, or in the case of a widget[cause those should be listed too] the ACTUAL config page). Then each
