Also something for you defenders of stardock to consider...what do they do if I DON'T use the same email address to ask for the refund? They have to either tell me they need my ID so they can deactivate my account before I can ship it back to them. So yeah, I'm pretty sure they just read my posts here and thought we'll get even with him and ban his account. How dare someone complain about our borked up game.
I don't really see what's unreasonable about their position... As I understand it, this is pretty much what happened... 1) You emailed Stardock to get a refund, as you aren't willing to wait while they attempt to fix the product. 2) Stardock said, sure, just send us the box back with a receipt and we'll give you a refund of what you paid for the box. Stardock then disabled your Demigod account, as you don't want it
Schlista, have you tried a setting other than "petulant" in your correspondence with both Stardock and the DG community? I bet you'd find far better help with both if you did such.
They are welcome to post my emails in this thread (all of them and only all of them) and you can see how I asked. Just remove my IP addressess, email addresses and name from the email and they can post them right here an
Only if you ask for a refund. (You can't get a refund AND keep your license. This should be a no brainer.)
Part of their process is to send them the product along with license key. At that point they should revoke the license until then they have my money and I can't use the game. When they cut the check is when they should revoke the license...otherwise they are getting a free loan for about 5 week
Don't send email to their tech support they may revoke your license to use the product like they did mine. You mean when you asked for a refund? What'd you think was going to happen?
Well when they say to ship it to them and I ask for shipping charges to be reimbursed...they said no. So I assume I still own the game because they didn't agree to a full refund.
Schlista, If you don't want the game, we will be glad to refund it for you, as we have already stated and issued a return authorization for. If you do want the game, let us know and you will be all set. You cannot have it both ways. We cannot issue a return authorization and have the game sent back to us months or years later, it simply does not work this way. I have responded to you by email. Plea
Why do you not wait for the next patch and the proxy system? Isn't that much less of a hassle?
Evidently it is becuase I asked for a Full Refund but they only give partial becuse they don't cover shipping, but now that I've asked I have to make a decision. Keep the game forever or get my refund now.
Nah, you're just trying to be a martyr and exposing the "great evil" that is Stardock. You asked for a refund, they told you what to do and cancelled your registration. I'm sure they can re-activate it if you tell them you aren't going to take the refund, but you didn't even do that and instead just came on the forums screaming bloody murder. Grow up.
That's exactly what I did do...then I came on here and posted about it. Right now I'm waiting on their

If not, I would really just hang on to it for awhile, I'm giving them some slack because they seem like a different company then the rest, yea it doestn' always work, but I have the perception that they are working very hard to get it going for us, priority #1 and only #1. On a sidenote though, AFAIK you ALWAYS have to pay the shipping and stuff, when you want a refund for a product. But they admitted to what they did and said if they activate my license they won't allow me t
Don't send email to their tech support they may revoke your license to use the product like they did mine. But yeah, if you want to play get the pirated version. Kind of ironic that Stardock thought piracy wasn't an issue and it will single handedly destroy this game. When it requires a pirated copy to play a game you bought...that is epic fail.
The Fan is in quotes because that's what it takes to say they have good support at Stardock. For those that have followed some of my postings and gripes on multiplayer not being playable you know the history. Basically I complained on this site to let others know that it really isn't fixed yet (even though some fans claim it is). And I get called a whiner. So I then get told to take them up on their Gamers Bill of Rights (GBOR). So I email stardock and req
why do towers keep rook stationary? He can make towers to one flag (chained to his base towers) and then go to another flag.
It would be cool if you had to max out a couple skill trees to get the power effect. If you combined skill tree 1 and 2 you get powerSkill X, but if you go with skill tree 3 and 4 you get powerskill Y. Or if you go with skill tree 1 and 4 you get powerskill Z. Or some combination of skills. So for rook if you max the tower skill and the drain structure skill you can combine the two maxed skills and get a power tower that does more damage and gives health to all frien
if you look at the support forum this was a known issue around 18 Apr. But it looks like it's back...I too have the issue (not that it matters that much because I can't join any meaningful online games).
Is there any chance any recent changes brought back some old issues? Or are the servers going offline for a while? I'm getting the old your user name / password is invalid. And when checking it says my license isn't any good. Is this a known issue that will be fixed soon? Or is it one that suport needs to work?

Thanks. I appreciate you taking the complaints serious and like that you plan to offer some "free" stuff to the game to make up for the sufferring of your consumers.
There are upsides and downsides to both. On the Xbox 360, all the multiplayer matchmaking is handled by the console maker so the matchmaking horror we've been experiencing wouldn't have happend. On the PC, developers have to either create their own connectivity (ala RelicOnline, IroncladOnline, Battle.net), license one (like we did with Raknet or others do with GameSpy Arcade). But you don't get charged on the
First you may ask what is the GBOR. It's the Gamer's Bill of Rights. The Gamer’s Bill of Rights: 1) Gamers shall have the right to return games that don’t work with their computers for a full refund. 2) Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state. 3) Gamers shall have the right to expect meaningful updates after a game’s release. 4) Gamers shall have the right to demand that downloa
Well I enjoy Ha
RTS games and any game styled after RTS games will fail to work on any console that does not allow the use of a Keyboard and Mouse. Period. Halo Wars was not a successful example of RTS games done on consoles - it was a pathetically simplified RTS game that was successful because of the word "Halo" and it was slightly less worse than the rest of the RTS games released on consoles. Trust me. I bought Command and Conquer 3 on
