Another huge problem with itemization is that nearly all the good items contain "linked" boosts. HP items include HP regen. Damage items include attack speed. Armor items include HP. +Mana items include mana regen And then there's the artifacts which have 3 boosts at once or more. There's no chance for some heavy experimentation or optimization here. What if I wanted a crapload of just HP regen or mana regen without ha
You're an idiot if you cannot see that this game was not build around 1v1. an Unclean Beast will most always kill a TB 1v1, get over it, dont want to die to UB's ? Go play as Sedna.
But see that's the thing. If it was 1v1 a balance of hp, armor, damage and such would probably be much better than all HP. Since it isn't 1v1 and you're eating focus fire ability spam, HP is *always* preferred.

Are you forwarding ports to each computer properly? And are you using DIFFERENT ports? Check that ImpulseReactorOptions.exe program to see.
Being able to hold a lane, as opposed to running back to your crystal, gives you more exp and gold, as well as denies the opponent both of those.
Not really true, you get exp by being 500 feet away from the creeps, there are no creep denies, and most of your gold is obtained by standing there. But...
HP items allows you to do this, attack items (currently) does not. Like you said, killing creeps is not an issue in this game, so the only purpose dam
It'd be nice if I could use a flag lock to unlock the flag that was previously locked by the opposing team.
You should have to buy Keys. They should cost 500.
Additionally, damage items don't serve the same purpose they do in say, Dota, where in addition to increased damage to enemy heroes damage items also help you kill *creeps* which gets you more money to buy more items later. HP items only increase your survival, but don't help you get more money. So there's delicate tradeoffs, you see. In Demigod the base creeps couldn't matter less. You either aoe them or if you can't you mostly ignore them as they don't get you much
I'm betting that the lock hadn't worn off yet, but your UI showed it did, so you cast another lock and then the first lock shortly wears off. The UI lock graphic and the actual lock timer are probably not synced very well.
That's because you get matched with AI in Pantheon and Skirmish. Of course they won't be saying anything.
No, it wasn't that, I'm certain of it. When groffling procs, it says "absorbed" in green for the damage (yes you can even see it over enemy Demigods). There was no indication of this and it has happened more than once against different players.
Not if your hit deals more than the shield absorbs. Watch with a QoT shield. The hit that breaks the shield will show up as the difference in damage. Throw a 1050 fireball at a shield with 600 absorb hp left a
Funny thing about creeps is that when I RoI them, they all take different damage. In theory, I should see all 800s above them when RoI hits, right? But on the same cast, they all take 734, 729, 799, 776, etc. On the same cast! Demigods too, so it's not just a creeps/grunts issue.
I know, it's so very odd. And I've NEVER seen something like Pounce do anything but its set damage though. Only Rain of Ice....
I wonder if the damage is somehow bugged due to problematic 10% damage flags? Like the Valor flag bug, if it gets taken you somehow have -10% damage? But I've seen it happen on cataract and there's no damage flags there. Hmmm.....
Would you want to be the company that set that precedent? Thats alot of people to anger, especially on a game whos reputation right now is so fragile.
I'd trust the players not to use vent except in custom games where they know everyone is using it. Or I'd at least hope they wouldn't.
I'd add and have disconnects = losses. I've never heard of a system where you disconect and get a win, that makes no sense. I'm sorry if you have connection trouble at home or dogs and brothers running over your equipment, but its nobodys fault but your own, so you should get a loss and rememdy the problem of dropping to fix it for yourself.
I know that, I'm talking about when one person disconnects and suddenly everyone else is server split off into their o
And you're afraid to admit that you might be a minority wishing people to conform to your way?
Maybe it's you who erroneously think you are the majority because "everyone you know" uses vent? The reliable way would be to take a poll of the people actually playing the game to see how many are using external VoIP applications while playing Demigod. The results would be informative, at the least.
No gaming company has ever considered ventrilo to
How do yall function without a core group of people in any game?
By just...PLAYING. None of my real life friends play this game anymore (all driven away by shoddy connection issues and bad recordkeeping). I was top 20 in 3v3 Random Team in Warcraft 3 back in the day.
10% damage flags probably account for a lot of it?
There's no flag that makes you do 10% less. It should never be doing less than what the ability damage is supposed to deal, yet it often does.
The question of which set of items is the better buy, all other things equal becomes a question of either out killing or out living for the same amount of money.
