Some DGs have auras or aura-like effects, e.g. Sedna, Oak, Torch Bearer. But how do they work ? Do auras affect yourself or only your allies ? Some examples: Sedna's Healing Wind : 12/24 health per second aura. Does Sedna benefit from her own aura and how far does the aura reach ? Sedna's Magnificient Presence : Inspires nearby allies. Cooldown reduced by 7%/12%/17% and bonus to minion health a

Since everyone seems to name a different demigod thats supposedly OP I thought we should maybe concentrate on DGs that are not OP. After all, if everyone is OP, then that means it's balanced. :) So ... I think Queen of Thorns is not OP. She sucks. Ok, nice creep killer spell and the bramble shield is very very useful... but she's got nothing to kill a high level demigod. And the bramble shield is annoying at best, but it gets taken down easy e
Scrolling down the messages is very slow. I don't mean it's loading slow (which it does) - it's scrolling slow even after it is completely loaded. I tested it on a MacBook using Safari and Firefox as well as on a Windows PC using Firefox. You can test it yourself by opening a forum with several posts and then scroll down using the cursor keys. Repeat that with any other content-heavy website like http://www.gametrailers.com/ You'll notice the difference immedeatly. Usi
I was playing a 4v4 game with hard AI's last night. The teams were UB(me), Rook, QoT, Regulus vs Sedna, Oak, Torch, Erebus. My allies were playing particularly poorly, feeding the other team regularly. I personally find the AI butchers Rook and QoT, playing them absolutely atrociously, but that's another story entirely. I managed to keep the kill count roughly even, despite Sedna's constant interference and the fact that the Oak had been fed
If the concept revolves around a wizard AND shall not be a Torch-Bearer rip-off, then he should have a more magic feel to him. The initial proposal rather looks like a World of Warcraft Shaman. Abilities that feel wizardry Craft Items The ability to create the consumables like teleport scroll, potions, flag locks, etc. More levels allow different items. Juxtapose Sw
Do the above, lock the flag, then conquer all open flags on the map because your opponent is sitting in his base. :)
i play a similar Rook, although I also focus on structural transfer. Nothing takes down towers faster than maxed structural transfer followed by a hammer slam, assisted by a maxed tower. the only problem for my tower farms are AoE like TB's ring of fire. I tend to build them farther apart in that case

The solution is simple: Disable favor items in skirmish, enable them in pantheon and tell people about it
I still dont see how that is going to make it more fair for all, unless you can only play against people with like eg. +-500 points like the way supcom does its ranking.
Well, if you play a skirmish you'll be able to gain favor without being in a disadvantage for not having any favor points. And if you dare to
I have posted my proposal for balancing favor items in order to restore fairness AND keep the favor items mechanics (face it, they are cool). Here's the thread The solution is simple: Disable favor items in skirmish, enable them in pantheon and tell people about it
Favor items are cool but give an unfair advantage against players that can't afford one. Even worse, players with many favor items are usually more experienced and have a skill advantage on top of the item advantage. And to make matters, um, worser, the underdog is less likely to gain favor points if he gets so soundly trashed. Some people will probably argue that you just have to disable favor items in custom games or find one such game, but we all know that this isn't a solution - i

oh well, I guess it would be too much of an advantage for Oak vs QoT.
e.g. QoT's ground spikes vs. Oak's spirits or Rook's hammer slam vs angels ?
thanks. thats better than nothing.
I think I never played an online game of demigod without anyone disconnecting in the course of the battle. Ok, you blamed it on the pirates and we probably believe you, but the game goes on even after a disconnect. And I have no clue which of the participants is a bot or a human player. Ohhh, yes, I can chat, but how do I know if the others are just too lazy or stupid to chat ? I want an indicator telling me which opponent is human and which is not. That
but apparently reviewers give better ratings for a single player campaign. or worse reviews for the lack thereof.
Despite promises and announcements demigod has no single player content to speak of. Skirmish ? Tournament ? Yeah right, as if anyone will believe you when you describe this as a campaign. So, here's a nice concept of how to provide both a challenging campaign and a kind of tutorial. The Ascension campaign is a series of challenges with very specific goals. These goals go beyond the game modes currently available but they should be easy to
thanks. nevertheless, i'd like a changelog for future patches. or a sticky thread regarding this.
I have broken sound issues, too. Mostly in the main menu waiting for a connection or immedeatly after entering the character select screen. Also, in-game sound crackles if too many things are happening ... like 300 units attacking at the same time
Well, where is one ? I'm kinda expecting an elaborate changelog like those blizzard delivers for their games.
or you get favor points for an honorable loss. or you lose favor points for leaving. or both.
And personally, I wish they would throw lawsuits at those "14 year olds"...what kind of society are we in where we turn a blind eye to people stealing other people's work?
Well, that's your personal choice of the kind of society you wish to live in. I prefer to live in a society not based upon revenge. But then, I'm not american and thus have been indoctrinated with completely different sets of social values.
Calm down guys. In this case - downloading and using copyrighted software - piracy, guilt and the secerity of the crime - is defined only by a small but powerful group of lobbyists (and their sponsors). I think that no one in this forum (or in the entire websphere) has never violated a copyright regarding music. Right now - depending on the respective countries laws - it is illegal to download or distribute songs in mp3 format. See those ridiculous la
If so, It would open another gold-spending strategy of rook players. Btw, how much damage does a tower deal anyway ?
seems like a waste ... they have the code and the visuals ... they could at least add a small beneficial effect. Just to put rook-player minds' at ease.
