My experience sounds very similar to yours, tho mostly from 2v2 Conquest on Cataract. Against competent opponents it is very difficult to score a kill. I play Sedna as a combat hero (from my experience she makes a rather poor minion master compared to other generals) so I maximize Pounce, Heal and Grace, later adding Presence and Silenc
So, if the attack speed floor is 0.5, if you have a base rate of 0.7, then Maximum effective increase in attack speed = (100% - 0.7/0.5) = 40%.
If the base attack speed was 0.7, yes. Looking at charts, demigods start at around 0.7 rate of fire, making attack speed on the in-game character sheet about 1.43 (1/0.7). At 20 the attack speed is about 1 though, so about the most you can get out of

I take it you disagree, but imo Sedna doesn't need the +5h/s since she already has grace+banded, and the 600 hp isnt better than 775 mana. The 70% mregen is just gravy (pretty useful gravy, tho). However, regarding Sedna items I have had quite a bit of success with Vlemish+Plenor (Boots etc can come later). The extra max mana from Plenor gives you about 3 extra spells for a major DG battle, and the extra regen really puts her spamability over the top. What is being described here is not attack rate but attack time . Rate is units per unit time: seconds -1 Time is, well, units time: seconds The unit of the value on the character sheet in demigod is time. 0.7 of what ? Seconds. It's 0.7 seconds for each attack, so it's attack time, not attack rate. Really, it would be better if the character sheet did show attack rate. It has a very simple relationship

No, sedna's heal is not throttled by mana. The point where someone can afford a HoL? Well, minutes before that was the point nobody should be ever having mana troubles. If you buy a plenor and HoL as sedna you are doing it wrong. All she needs is a decent mana pool (vlemish+boots) and robust mana potions are the end to mana problems. It's much cheaper to spend the money on mana potions than anything past the first crown. You will actually have more gold and more mana for at min

Potions, potions, potions. People have some weird aversion to them, like the gold is "dissapearing". You get the same effect from rejuv potions as you do from the HoL. The gold for 1 HoL is almost 10 large rejuv potions, just to put that in perspective. How many times are you really using your HoL during a match? And you have to save up for a HoL whereas you buy potions over time. Seriously, use potions. They are the reason why the better the player, the less often they buy a

Have you ever tried using it yourself and finding how it interplays with Oak's performance? Have you played with and against it using various demigods? Have you both won and lost a high number of games with it in play? The more vantage points to construct an idea of balance the better. All I see is "but oak isn't MEANT to do x" and "this is what happens when oak uses HoL". Except these situations you describe happening are not what actually goes on most of the time. Priest idol minions by that point in the game are healing DGs on the order of 500-700 every 10 seconds. That's 1500-2100 every 30 seconds right there and it gets cast on everyone. A death or two does not cost you the match and resurrection time already scales a lot with level. Please try to apply critical thinking, people. Statistics and correlation; when someone dies early on they are more likely to be a worse player but certainly (by definition) playing worse at that time they died. Deaths are correlated to worse players. They lose because they are worse throughout the game. If your skill level is lower and thus died then most likely you are going to lose unl

I'm curious about the sentiment around here that Oak is really weak early game. Given what I've seen online from other Oaks I would be inclined to agree. However, I simply find that I have no problem whatsoever as Oak early game. I rarely go back to the crystal, have no trouble gaining kills; 2v1 is bad for an y demigod. Maybe my competition is just bad. I just read all the time about how Oak is so weak early game with accounts of what happens and am perplexed as to why the Oa

In the typical match there is more incoming damage from non-spell sources but it's somehow an "edge case"? Right. Got it. And all this math is useless and has no application (your words) because... it can't be directly applied to the game? If it has to be changed dramatically and that's reason why it's useless then any theorying is useless. Anything we can come up with is so far away from the mathematical solution to demigod (speaking in terms of game theory here). We have no

As someone mentioned, when a game splits, whoever finishes their game first gets their game's stats recorded. Given that you said the timeout box came up a few times prior, it was someone's connection. Either: 1. Your connection "lagged out", was congested upstream, or something else, and you simply disconnected from them both, leaving you in your own game, OR 2. One of the UBs disconnected, then the bug occured that splits the game in two. You have that information ba
