No, it happens every time I boot up the computer. I'm working on fixing it by buying MOAR FANS and a fan controller that usefully splits my single slot on the MoBo into 4 fan slots [e digicons];P[/e] We'll see what problems happen next, because they always come in waves.

I split monks at the beginning of every 2v2 that my partner and I play and it usually ends up with both of us controlling our lanes (ca

I expect that the target-switching bug is a direct result of her attacks dealing damage in a small AoE. Upon damaging 2 targets, she may be confused, thinking the splash target was actually the intended target, and chase that. But of course, this is all purely speculation.

The spiking bug is a netcode error (most likely) that is causing people whose connections should be fine to have incontrollable, massive spikes in ping (usually around 1k-2k). It's well documented in Deadghost's post, here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352593

Think about this for a second: if you took a Fire TB, a thorns QoT, a slam rook, and a... I dunno, pick two other AoE'ers, and then put them up against spit UB's, you could expect the UB's to kill one, maybe two of them, before being utterly destroyed.

Transitive, I have never seen a general build be more effective in earlygame than one involving monks. Particularly considering that Sedna, iirc, cannot get wind until level 5, and thus monks can be expected to be just as effective on other DG's as her. I recently downloaded Demigod and played at a local Net cafe that had 2.5x my upload rate (from .41mbps to 1.01 mbps), which, considering the fact that I have tried Demigod with no other programs installed on my computer (eliminating packet sniffing), and with no router (to eliminate possible hardware-firewall problems), and taking into account that simspeed requirements are an exponential increase instead of additive, meant that I should not have been able to play 5v5 games. But I could. Not

I hate to be a nuiscance, Frogboy, but has any headway been made that you're aware of on the ping spiking issue? For a small fraction of your players, the game is unable to be used to its fullest potential, which is a shame because we really enjoy it (and thus bother you about getting a fix from GPG :P)

While technically less ping is better, in a game environment like Demigod's, where twitch reflexes are not of the same importance as, say, an FPS, where the game is supported through P2P rather than client server, and where the community frequently states that games fill up 'way too slowly', it seems silly to kick people because of moderate ping. But to each his own.

Eh, I dunno how much longer I'll wait for em to fix the spiking bug before I just walk away. But I really hope they do, because it's an awesome game.

Because the game has enough balance issues when one person starts feeding, let alone when the enemy starts 5 levels hi

Well, as it turns out, I never got around to installing an intake fan on this thing. That'll probably help, or it would if there were room for one on the mobo. Is it possible to just mount it to the front of the computer? (i.e., is there usually an outlet for the fan if I take it apart?)

The thing to remember about Regulus is that once you're close to him, he's lost any real advantage he had over you. Feel free to stun, slow, and nuke him while he tries desperately to throw his mines/take a snipe/autoattack you to death.

Sedna's effectiveness is inversely proportional to the number of players in a game, as she has no AoE damage, and is only capable of keeping one target up at a time with healing. As such, she can rip faces off in 1v1 situations, where AoE matters much less, but tends to suffer in groups, where a TB can deal 2400 damage with a single RoI, compared to her 1500 heal. This is, in fact, where TB and Slam Rook are at their zenith, so it could be the low player counts in games resulting in a skewed
