I call that snobbery.
Now hold up. If you wanna listen to FoB or something, that's cool and I'm all for it. But the fact is, as my tastes are very different from the average person, I c

I...umm...Didn't buy the collector's edition. Simply didn't have the money [e digicons]x_x[/e] Err, I mean, of course I painted it! I made mine transform into Rainbow Rook. People look at him funny, but I know they're just jealous.
Why is it so pretty? Damn you, Stardock, you tease! Also, I can't tell the difference between the two pictures. [e digicons]:hugme:[/e] iruncultured?
It should also turn him silver.
Quoting pseudomelon, reply 145 You mean only bands that are truly mainstream? I trust the average joe to pick good music about as much as I trust my toaster oven to provide company while I'm in the bath. The term good is subjective and useless. The average joe or jane will pick the music he or she likes and screw anyone else who doesn't like it. Music snobbery is right up there with everything else snobs feel the need
For music I'm thinking cut out the middle man almost entirely. Now employees in the music business will argue that record lables are needed to pay for recording and marketing. While that may be true, if you cut them out what will remain are bands with nothing, except potential to grow. What is the positive side to all this? Only bands that are truly good get the mouth-to-mouth PR they need to grow, expand, become known world-wide (and filthy ri
I disagree with the favor point system the same way I disagree with CoD's levelup system: in a multiplayer-centric game, it puts a new player at a disadvantage, as if he didn't have one already by being new.
I'm starting to get surprised how many conversations I have about my SN :P But yes, I'm afraid I've led you all astray.
Ahh, my apoligies. I thought you were referring to discussing on forums.
Or at least, most of the people you talk to say they're the honest kind.
A: Ping spikes are almost always due to someone in a given game not having enough upload speed. Even more specifically, it’s almost always some DSL user in Europe who gets 600kb/sec downloads but some tiny number uploaded. Beyond re-designing the MP for the game, there’s no real solution other than for those users to try to avoid games with too many players. We plan to develop tools for Elemental
Q: Has there been any progress on the ping-spiking issue detailed here (http://forums.demigodthegame.com/352593). A small portion of the player base (including myself) have put Demigod on hold, as we cannot play games with more than X (where x is a number between 4 and 8, with the median being 4) players in them, despite solid connections. Many of us have tested the game with worse connections in another area and the same ISP, and had no trouble running the game. <blockq
I only play HoN because of my connection issues with Demigod :P
I cannot work out a way one could possibly and legitamately defend piracy... However, with all the anti-modding business going on, I have to say that once you own a copy of your game (or system), whatever you do with it (barring distribution) should be your own personal business. The exception is, of course, mods that enable you to use pirated software.
Just about everything hit by knockback dies, regardless of damage (provided it's small enough to be effective, of course). Knockback also comes with splash damage attatched, which is fun.

I'm going to have to agree with Jafo, there really is no excuse for software piracy. People do sell copies of their shows on DVD you know.
The ONLY 'holes' in the plot are figments of the [lack of] imagination of the viewer. This wasn't a typical Hollywood 'thing' aimed at the lowest common denominator...a male, teen-something white kid from middle America.... it actually require a wee bit of intelligence. God help us all if something as 'odd' as 2001 were to have come along now.....there'd be screams of "WTF!!!!" even heard way past Jupiter somewhere....[/quot
I think the important thing to remember is that while the Daily Show is definitely funny, you can't trust it for unbiased information any more than MSNBC or Fox News. But hell, I watch him for laughs, and he usually gives me what I watch for.
As for this, if viewers are unable to suspend disbelief during a film, plot holes become apparent. A movie that attempts to feel realistic is afforded fewer liberties in its fabrications of behavior and setting. For those unfamiliar with my point, look into a theory known as the willful suspension of disbelief.
The problem here is that the sheer number of plot holes in any Sci-Fi that has aliens visiting earth can be so immense that it would take more than an
Spoiler Warning Ahh, delicious plot holes. We could go on and on forever about how Starwars doesn't work, or we could admit the fact that, hey, it's a fictional story ! As in, doesn't exist. We all get that you couldn't really have a planet with an empty core, or that has nothing but water in the core with land on the surface, etc. The point of a movie, Science Fiction, Fantasy, or simply Fiction, is
I'm afraid the reaction may have been in part by the fact that my quote on the next statement did not function properly (in fact, it didn't come out as a quote at all), so the paragraph looks like a mess. I have since PM'ed a Stardock employee with the hope of better sorting this out. Cheers!
It seems that low upload bandwidth users cause the majority of the lag issues. These users do fine in 2v2, and sometimes 3v3, but fail horribly in 4v4 matchups. Could proxy connections be used to split a packet multiple ways, so that the user only has to upload one set of information, which the proxy would then duplicate to all of the players in the game? Actually, low upload bandwidth isn't the problem. Proxies have been tested with this glitch, and do not solve the problem. Switching to
Wow, a failure so full of fail that it becomes a success... That's a quadrouple negative or something.
