I tried not to get involved, but more and more I find myself slowly pulled toward Elemental. Toward the light ! Beware and escape, young gamer, lest you be taken by the same sorcery!

Have you tried a firmware upgrade?
Nope. I just don't like Halo. I actually bought an XBox just for it, and it was one of the most lackluster games I have ever played. Also, I didn't really care for KotoR, but I loved Jade Empire.
Well, we've had feedback. It's just that so far the feedback's been "We really don't know either." I'm just hoping it's changed :P
Dwarf, you've been through a number of threads already spreading your whining. Wouldn't the amount of time spent on the forums bitching have roughly added up to the amount of time it would take to buy a new game if you spent it working, instead of being a jerk? Just curious.
A while back, there was a patch in Warcraft III that generated a lot of rage due to the fact that one of its fixes solved a problem found exclusively in DotA. Considering this, it seems pretty safe to say that DotA has become such a large movement in Blizzard's RTS community that it has been officially accepted.
None, I'm afraid. I've requested an update on any information through the August Monthly Demigod Community Question Thread, found here .
Has there been any progress on the ping-spiking issue detailed here? A small portion of the player base (including myself) have put Demigod on hold, as we cannot play games with more than X (where x is a number between 4 and 8, with the median being 4) players in them, despite solid connections. Many of us have tested the game with worse c
to me, when i put things on the desktop, its not about things being "easier/harder to find" but rather the fact that the desktop provides "instant access" to the recent/frequent-access things of all my top topics.
Yeah, what I was trying to say was that when you fill up your desktop, it's harder to sort through all the junk files, so I like to keep mine reasonably small.
I've got about 10 things on the desktop; I've never considered it a badge of honor to have less things, it's just that with more, it's harder to find them. But I know plenty of people whose desktops are completely full with crap, and who refuse to remove any of it (luddites!), so there is a clientelle.
Agreed. That would be useful.
Perhaps you could explain what Fences are, so more people (like myself) know what you're talking about? :P
my counter argument for this would be that its only fair for minions to NOT give exp when assassins can have stats equal to a general plus his/her minions. from my rough calculations i think erebus can get up 5000hp (250 dps) with minions at 12000hp (300dps). so when rook or regulus can have 17000hp with 550dps without artifacts then i'll agree that no exp is needed. on another note. someone mentioned oth

Agreed. Something has to be done about the unused favor items.
Again, I would gain nothing by fighting Assassins if I didn't net a kill. If one gets XP from minions, it's only fair that they get XP for dealing damage to Demigods. In short, I disagree with this idea.
Quoting Misfortune, reply 203Don't know why everyone is so confident about Starcraft 2 spawning a new dota. Someone feel free to step in and correct my history lesson, but from what I understood, Dota isn't the 1st of it's kind. Dota is supposedly based on AoS (Aeon of Strife) which was created for Starcraft and is the grandpappy of our new spin off genre... TCG.
This is correct. Moreover
this demigod costs 100,000$ and we get it for free. sponsored by stardock. at least wait until it's there before you rant it into the ground. --- Where information is from? The sum is too big i suppose.
I'm pretty sure it was $10,000, not $100,000.
[e digicons][/e] Welcome to last-generation gaming! Weather is choppy with a side of blocky graphics. But at least you won't be chucking out $100 for a game [e digicons][/e]
Cloak of the Night is easily one of his most effective items, now that the Horn has been removed, imo. BotF's 800 HP feels silly in comparison.
Any time [e digicons][/e] Katamari was huge in the US and Japan, probably for no other reason than being one of the strangest games ever created. And of course, being stupidly addictive.
Mmm. Well having been a younger gamer when I bought R&C, I just can't be sure. Furthermore I had little to no FPS experience. But I thought they were good games. The first Sly Cooper is worth consideration if you find it on sale. Interesting gameplay is somewhat bogged down by an irritating storyline and cast, as well as some bad controls, but still a decent platformer. But you don't like jumping puzzles, yes? So that's a No on sly cooper. Viewtiful Joe is a pretty solid 2
Removed double post. Smartass :P
Well that still leaves Ratchet and Clank, Okami, Resident Evil 4, Burnout, Viewtiful Joe, Sly Cooper, Kingdom Hearts, Mercenaries, and We Love Katamari. By the by, how are the sequels to PoP? I only ever played the original, because I heard the sequels were a bit of a mess by comparison.
Mmm. Then I'll have to decide between TF2, L4D2, or HoN as my game of choice to play with my brother. Kinda leaning toward L4D2 if his system can handle it. Sorry HoN.
