Galactic Civilization 1 (Ultimate Edition) : How do I conquer planets? in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

If you keep attacking a star system for some time you come to a point where you can no longer attack. I would expect that at this point you could simply "move into" the square occupied by the system to take it over, but this doesn't work. So, how do I do it? Do I need a special unit or something? I am aware that I'm most probably asking a very dumb question, but please bear with me for a moment there... Thanks for the patience.
