I have one concern: does the user data used to suggest players to play with also take into account the potential ping? It'll be ineffective if all the like-minded players are too far away anyway (granted, there's nothing easy we can do to alleviate that at the moment).

I just played a game against skill opponents and there was this UB who stacked HP very early in the game. He had over 5k HP before we hit mid game. At that point, together with his Rook team mate, we couldn't bump them off the fortitude flag (it's the flag that got his HP over 5k with the help of HP items). It was a very slow descent to defeat at that point and I found that I could do little to stop such a tactic with QoT. I'm with the_hunger in that I find QoT unique and love how I c

It seems to me that before they got around to fixing these issues, there were numerous fixes (or attempts at least) to stabilize the connectivity. So yes, comparing connectivity to the Sedna priest bug, I would rank the Sedna priest bug as of lower priority. Regarding the 3 items, it cannot be any clearer in the patch log. They were removed to be fixed, not instead of . So it's 1 month since their removal and they're still at it. I'd rather they take their tim
I also play all three games and I do enjoy all of them. However, I am pretty sure, DG will more or less die in the coming months. HoN and LoL already have more players than DG and this wont change upon release. LoL is free, so no problem here, and HoN is cheap with its price of 30$ and easily has the most potential of the three. That's because it essentially is DotA 2.0 and given the popularity of DotA HoN is an easy bet. It is going to succeed. HoN will also get new heroes, it
Sorry bro, you can keep your modding. Heard its not possible without 12k worth of software anyway.
Technically, all you need is an unpacker software (7zip or WinRAR will do) and a text editor to start modding. The snag appears to be applicable only to modding in new Demigods or maps perhaps since Granny 3D is required. We've already seen several mods, including bman's excellent UI mod that shows the HP/MP of your team mates. All that's required is for the game to

To the best of my knowledge, more is more in this game. I pumped my attack a lot to ensure higher chances of success on Fights (or heists as well I think). Defense is good I think for repelling attacks but I've found this to be suboptimal to invest in since there will always be that guy who's a hundred levels above you. Such a player will just succeed in attacking you no matter how much defense you have simply because he/she would have had a much larger inventory of items, mafia or st

What are the pings you're seeing to the people in your game? If it's any comfort, I've once played with a Dubai player with just below 350ms ping without incident. I'm from Singapore. If I do create any games, you're very welcomed to join in.
Patches have been excrutiatingly slow to come, and have left many issues unresolved.
I think this is an obvious exaggeration. There has been several patches over the course of the last months, so unless you came from a game community the developer of which releases patches every week, I'd challenge you to find another developer that had been as hard at work with the patch releases as GPG/Stardock. I'm definitely in agreement that the game still needs a lot more

I have tried fast speed on multiplayer games. What I can say about it is that you'd better make sure everyone has good ping in the game as it's otherwise very hard to react to very rapidly changing situations in the middle of a fight. Noticing that in the beginning, I went for a full minion Queen of Thorns and simply let the AI do my work with minimal input. It worked out pretty well. However, it's not a setting I would want to play again as it's just too fast for meaningful long term decisio

cwsault is right. You can already remap the key to select only your Demigod or individual categories of units under your command. Number 3 is definitely absent and is a good to have, yes. On a side note, I remap my keys as such: (QWERTY keyboard) R - map ping F - select Demigod B - regroup minions V - select all minions Z - Demigod info window X - skill tree C - select both Demigod and all minions This was

From your post, YaNiX, I'm guessing you haven't played the game yet. If you've seriously tried it out, you'll find that Demigod is NOT just like DotA. The one that's almost a complete DotA copy is Heroes of Neweth. There are numerous game mechanics present in Demigod that DotA does not have and vice versa, so much so that the two aren't the same game anymore.
AFAIK Practice == Learning, there is no difference.
Perhaps I'm just playing with semantics, but learning and practice ARE two different things. You can learn a game's rules quickly, but require practice to master. A good game is often easy to learn, and requres lots of fun practice to master. Learning is picking up the knowledge required to play, practice will allow the player to apply said knowledge with better judgement.

There are those from Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korean (where I'm guessing you're from). I'm from Singapore myself. We usually don't seem to see other other online at the same time but we're definitely around! As evident from this thread: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/350483
Why sacrifice a player spot for a character that can't do anything but support other teammates? Have you noticed that very few people play her? I'd wager it's because she sucks and no one wants to sit back and be the "support". If you wanted to do that, then why not play Sedna? At least she doesn't have to worry about her mana as much and doesn't have to switch forms constantly. QoT is obviously made the way she is so she can perform a variety of tasks. She has damage spel

However, I just couldn't let slip how people are saying "oh these are original" when they're not.
Considering the entire concept for Demigod itself comes from DotA, I don't think you need to 'educate' people to the fact that some of the ideas contained within Demigod are not original.
I can ensure you that I did not want to remind anyone for the umpteenth time again about where Demigod draws inspiration from. However, the s

At the risk of sounding like a DotA nut (which I've already stopped playing), I'm going to be the devil's advocate here and say that many of these skills are not original. Warp Strike is Blink Strike (many heroes had it). Deadly Warp is a variant of the Critical Strike (many heroes had it). Warp Area is Omnislash (Juggernaught had it as the ultimate). Shadow Swap is Nether Swap (Vengeful Spirit had it as the ultimate). I'm no less excited about this new
I have always wondered why developers have the same animation no matter whitch level of ability. I find no reasons why ability shouldn't be improved visually when you get level up.
One reason would be the increased cost of production each Demigod would have. They would look "cooler" no doubt, but the novelty wears off too fast to justify the increased cost of production. One would argue that the aesthetical differences might help cue othe
