Can I join in.
Quoting Tridus, reply 561. Getting time estimates right for software is hard. 3. Stuff changes frequently. Estimate for more, aim for less.
For the most part software development is closer to give them only as much as they want and none thing else. I could never agree with this logic. I always felt that soa ftware designers should make it as good as possible.<

Well I read one time in maximum pc that 93% of gamers steal games to play, It didn't say how it just said they did. It was talking about the success of the free to play games. I was reading what I think I recall a defense for Linux that 60-70% of computer users in the home pirate either operating systems or software. The irony is Linux wants to give this away.

If something like this is done I hope my idea of different governments for different factions is done to balance this with the Yor. This is inspiring me for another idea they could have specialized techs to add to the factions techs based on what party you pick.

I agree that ideas and criticisms should be reserved to the postings that us founders are supposed to post where ever that is. The alpha and betas are not finished products. As far as the content that are going to be streamed we should try to make it look nice. Any reviews should probably be posted in where ever the founders post for ideas after the alpha comes out should go unless you have more good things to say what you think the game is going to be based on the alpha.

I like the drop down menu idea maybe like you could combine production and economics more important I like the idea of using local and global in game settings. I would like to see more useful governors than what they already have. I would like to also see a global setting for my governors. I don't like the idea of making this before game options instead of making these in game options.

If your archetecture is Ivy bridge then your I7 has to be a third generation. The first generation I7 was sandy bridge or earlier you actually have a recent graphics archetecture. Ivy bridge is state of the art. Your processor has to be a third generation, or you don't have Ivy bridge.

Oh your right I would like my idea better. Though this is similar to capture the king optional game in Civilizations 3 where you can caoture the leader. I would not like this as part of the main game. This could be a optional game victory condition. This would speed up the game though.

If we are talking about exploits I would like to stay. Quiver at my feet or and tremble cause I'm researching planetary improvements or something else. The reason why I like this is because it did not matter if I had met them. The Thalans are my favorite when they are across the galaxy, and they have planetary adaption which is a tech no one else has. The thalans would make this very expensive, so no one else had this. Please keep this exploit.

I guess game wise as long as carriers are useful, but lets not forget we have only 15 carriers, and they need at least 7 or 8 escorts for carriers to be effective in combat. Not to mention mid air refuelers make it possible to obsolete carriers.

Talking about misleading the internet has been allowing galactic civilizations 3 both the game and the beta since 2010. The forums were telling me that these were lies.
I believe that you are making a mistake, by assuming that the values you associate to democracy would be the values that other civilizations associate to democracy you are misunderstanding the actual practice of that type of government.
Again this is where I think civics would do the same job only better, and I think different factions would have different civics. Most people I talk to confuse free market with d

Well here's an idea the Ai could make ships based on your ship stats. When you change stats the Ai will change its stats to fit. One way the Ai can fix this if they can afford this they can upgrade their ships to fit this. The Korath was fitted for this in Dark avatar. Some reason they took this out for Twilight of the Arnor. Something I would like to see them bring back is the Krynn and Iconians actually being good at sabotage. I would like to see the Ai make better ships to. Not just sh

In the beginning pick the populists party. The federalists and technologists work to. My favorite ability setting is in the list of priority(morale, economy, research or population). Well I never really disable tech trading or diplomacy. I would start out with setting my production to 100%. Also play with taxes until your approval is 100%. You don't need to worry about Bc loss until your Bc is -400. I start building my colony ship right away. I colonize every planet I can find.</

Ok like civilization 4 there are multiple leaders to a civ. These leaders are absolute leaders. Each leader have different abilities. Ok Galactic civilizations has even more options on different abilities than civilization giving a better option for this. After you pick your leader this would define the presets that are instead of the faction it would be leader based. Multiple leaders for all factions like civilization. Unlike civilization you would add abilities to this. This would work in s
The $99 - I paid it because I knew this game would be good given everything going for it at the time. I doubt many of my ideas would get implemented- my theory is to fire off as many shots as possible, and let the devs figure out what works. I wonder if this was the idea behind Planetary Annihilation - though I haven't messed with that much (and promising expansi
