Well I have never done an Alpha I'm planning to give suggestions on how things can be better, and commenting on what I don't like.Exactly what I'm to expect I don't know. I like to arm constructors after factions start threatening me. If I do this in time then I can build a lot of constructors to upgrade a lot of star bases. Its not a waste if you arm the star bases when trouble arises. When trouble arises you can always trade for techs to do this, or help you do this.

I agree with multiple leaders with different abilities for each faction. i would like to add that their could be political manuvering with the different leaders like in medieval total war. I think it would be a better 4x game for it. What I mean different leaders you would only pick one at the beginning of the game.

First I would like to see civics instead of governments. I agree different factions would have a different kind of governments. Maybe communism or facism instead of democracy or republic for evil factions. Its called an obliarchy for the Korx. As far as the Thalans it is either a monarchy, confederate, or a commonwealth. I think if the government would have different bonuses for a government with the same name run different.

Not understanding the post. I think it needs to be cleaned up. I'm thinking you are asking what I think Galactic civilizations 3 will be different from 2. 1. Less races. 2. Some races missing. 3. New races. 4. Races are called factions. 5. More individualized tech trees. 6. Tech specialization. 7. Picking on tech path will eliminate others. 8. biggeOne Que instead of two. 9. Hexes 10.
I am currently playing a game with super modified DLs. With nine civs including the thalan, krynn and torian, and others on crippling difficulty. the ship spam wasn't disorienting for me. If I wanted a fleet gone I would just blast it. I haven't seen any number of ships I couldn't keep track of as of yet.
Sounds like a good challenging game! have fun! [quote who="DARCA1213" reply="20" id="344604

If we are talking about bombing. I would opt not to nuke the planet. I think both would be an option. Lets not forget about spot bombing just bombing the defenses not none thing else. The asteroid idea should have a chance of destroying the whole ecosystem. If the ecosystem is destroyed then their is no point in an invasion you won. I don't do anything that lowers planet quality. I would like an option to rebuild. I like the option to invade without killing everyone. If I don't kill e
Quoting Lucky Jack, reply 12 After reading the replies on this thread, I have to wonder how many people want cakewalks at the hardest difficulty setting. There's a difference between wanting a cakewalk (no challenge) and wanting a meaningful challenge (aka more than a speedbump). Speedbumps aren't really a challenge, they're a nuisance. We want something better than

Other than the *five* posts from one in this thread already?[/ not squote] Futile hope on this. I'm meant not seeing one employee from stardock commenting on this in hopes that we are wrong about one Que. I'm hoping that their is an employee that will get on these forums, and tell us that we are wrong and ther

Ok cakewalk games is my primary concern in games. Please lets not make the Ai easier, but I am in support of Ai using player ships. I would like to see the computer making better ships.I think that the Ai being dummied down is a good idea. There is an option to upgrade your ships. What is the problem with the Ai having lots of ships. A few good huge hull ships can handle a lot of smaller ships. If you can't fight the Ai what is the point of when the Ai's don&#

Civilization use to not have different leaders of the same civilization I think that really enhanced the game. I think that would enhance this game. We already pick our abilities when we start, so that wouldn't do much. What I propose instead is having different abilities for different leaders for the same faction, but after that doing the same thing they do already. I think that would work better. As far as the age of leaders I agree that in other games that span 50

There talking about star wars light sabers. My qustestion on this is how do they stop. Getting back to the oxygen. When I did a report on europa I studied this. I asked a question what in sugar gives us energy. Sugar is not enough of answer. He steps off the ship and see sugars and carbohydrates everywhere. One of the requirements in astro biology is an ergy source, but that is not enough some reason. I didn't understand is why does light need carbon dioxide, or why does plants ne

I could be wrong, but for the most part you are not going to have a planetary bombardment while you have a planetary invasion. Maybe they can creae a mechanic for marines. As far as modern warfare goes first you send in spot bombers to take out defenses then you send the carpet bombers this alone can take months. I'm not sure what the marines are doing. Then you send in the army.

Details would help I have some reasons why. Have you updated drivers lately how new is your computer. What operating system are you using. There are updeates to the game have you installed. These could be problems. There are more, but I really need to know how you are playing. Like for instance have you heard of virtual memory.

I'm fine with this idea even if this can't happen this way because most of the mass is Hydrogen and Helium this is the makeup of Saturn and Jupiter which is more mass than the rest of the solar system combined besides the sun. Most of the rest of that is ice. You only have about 10% of the ice as rock and metals in the solar system. For the most part most of the metal and rock in the solar system resides in the inner solar system while the rest is ice according to modern planetary for

You know that other than the cores the moons around the gas giants are water and ice. Living in them is similar to water worlds. I would allow that we haven't seen all of the moons around gas giants in the universe. Its that according to current formation theories they dictate that moons around gas giants are mostly ice unless they move to the inner solar system. Even though there are currently no theories for this if there were moons that unless they were captured planets or asteroids th

Not to mention that factions that are hostile towards you will probably become their friend while factions that are friendly towards you will be hostile towards them. I want to mention that there is a chance that the Galactic council will not necessarily recognize them. Their should be an option to make interfearing in other people civil wars illegal. This should not be automatic, but this could be an option to vote on the galactic council. They should not be arbitrarily not a

Well I think that people use fantasy because they don't think of sci fi. People say spells when they mean abilities because that is what aliens have instead of spells like wizards. Question do they have video games on sol 3. Hey Darca I think you are mean to newcomers because you probably got one of the worst newcomer welcomes ever that is because no one realized you were a newcomer, or maybe it was just a bad idea.
