on a side note, disabling the textures does not fix the issue for me. For now I guess I'll refrain from renaming stuff on my desktop, lol. -zp

I have the same issue. Quadcore Phenom II, 8 Gb Mem and gtx 260 216 core. I only run desktop fences and window blinds. It only pegs 25% cpu for me but jumps to over a gb of usage and lags like hell.
