Okay, thanks for that, obscenitor. (Glad to see this thread getting back on topic.)

I want to make sure this isn't some general issue before we put it out and go home for the weekend. Following up on obscenitor's suggestion, I mostly use QoT and Erebus, and I find the following favor items useful: 1. Erebus: Blood of the Fallen (yep, that's all I use with my Erebus assassin build). 2. QoT:

I would have preferred a decisive shambler buff, along with some buffing or overhauling of her level 15 skills. Anyhow, the "repair friendly towers" ability seems very promising, but needs to be carefully implemented. On the issue of fav

Mods will probably be the thing that will save this game, if it can be saved. I personally do not expect much more from GPG/Stardock besides the 2 demigods, some rejiggered favor items, and a few balance tweaks. New demigods, maps, gameplay modes, AI overhaul--this will all be up to the modders. The silver lining here is that Stardock at least plans to make the game mod-friendly, even to the extent of incorporating the better mods into the game itself. Looking at how m
6. It's continuing to get better. If you read the forum posts, you sometimes forget that the game has only been out about 6 months and has received continual updates throughout its life with more updates in the works. It ain't going anywhere.
Yeah, I agree. Great game and all, but I definitely want to see some more follow-thru on the issue of additional content and updates.
Okay, wish me luck on this, guys. Here's the plan: While I loved the Baldur's Gate games (especially BG2) and I followed DA:O very closely, I am not going to rush out and buy this game. The temptation is great--I've already read good reviews, and the game does not even have obnoxious DRM. However, I am going to wait about a year. As I figure it, that will be enough time for Bioware to do a proper expansion and bundle it--along with all of the DLC--into a "
Another Dungeon Keeper game would indeed be nice. EDIT: Also a Freelancer 2 would be great.

This looks like a very good start, mrappard. Keep it up!
If you like the Age of Empire/Rise of Nations games, you might try Rise of Legends. It's not pathbreaking like RoN, but it is gorgeous, put together well, and cheap.

You can't justify keeping information from people who, if they had the information, wouldn't want to play with you. Its supply and demand. The results from the overlay show that (1) most PUG players don't want to face teammates who are highly ranked and have high familiarity with each other and (2) there aren't enough highly skilled tea
I agree with much of what Raven said in reply #3, as well as what some others have said. I greatly prefer a retail version over digital versions. Also, I really detest the trend toward tying games to individual accounts, a scheme that is designed to kill the resale value of the game and to limit consumer rights. Don't get me wrong, I think that Steam, Impulse, etc. are great for the people who like those services. I am simply old-school in my attitude toward shopp
1. Keep an eye out for Dragon Age next month. If it is half as good as Baldur's Gate 2, it should be worth playing. (If you haven't played the Baldur's Gate games for PC, by all means make them your next purchase!) 2. Dawn of War: Soulstorm. A real classic. There are enough mods and maps to keep you playing a very long time. 3. Battle for Middle Earth 2. Yeah, I know it's by EA, but it's a great game anyway. 4. Morrowind and/or Oblivion: These k
Yeah, the shoulder pads and physique are very Erebus-like. However, I'm sure that he'll play differently and has his own animations.

It really depends on the offense. I think that someone who purposefully causes a "game state error" or something else pretty disruptive should be utterly banned from online play. No questions asked. However, someone who rage-quits habitually or gives inappropriate names to their games should receive a stern warning first, perhaps followed by a temporary ban for the next offense.
