Have sent in a request to ban.
Very good, Frogboy. I'm glad someone finally provided some proof for something I suspected all along (i.e., that this error could be intentionally caused). I hope that this SocialistRyan guy never has another chance to stink up another Demigod match.

Yeah, I'm not big on paid DLC either. However, if you simply wait for about a year before buying a game, they'll bundle all of that stuff into a "Game of the Year" edition and sell it at a discount. Sometimes, you'll even get a proper expansion module in the deal, not to mentioned a patched-up game. They all do it this way, including NWN, Oblivion, Fallout 3, etc. Of course, the hard part is waiting a year for a much-hyped game.

I agree that she needs to be buffed, but I don't believe that she needs a big buffing. For the most part, I would like to see her abilities and battlefield usefulness scaled better beyond lvl 10. There are some good suggestions above. I would simply add: --Stun ability: she needs one. Badly. (EDIT: in place of a stun ability, adding stun immunity with Bramble Shield [or in closed mode] would be acceptable as well). --Drop Tribute for the lvl 15 ability and ad

If you're gonna leave a comment there be sure to keep it civil, as he's been a modder before his job at GPG and has already done a lot of bugfixing that noone else would have done at GPG. No, QoT is not useless. She's quite decent up to about level 10 at support and creep busting as well as some occasional frontline work. Her biggest problem is that her skills and battlefield presence noticeably decline after level 10. It is only so much you can do with a Bramble shield and ground spikes against a 15th level UB, Oak, or LE. And don't get me started on the poor Shamblers. I don't think that she needs a big buff. However, her lvl 15 skills (Tr

In about 2months, the number of players online was cut by half and there is no custom game, well 3-4, not a lot...
Just seeing 4-5 custom games posted at any given time is a bit disappointing. I think that at least some people (including myself) are waiting for the 1.2 patch before jumping back into multiplayer. The 2 new demigods should liven up things

Thanks for this, Zechno. A lot of good info. I'm a big fan of DG and will continue to be as long as it gets support and more content. However, I wouldn't mind trying the HoN beta, though I have heard many times about the crude community. I was utterly turned off by LoL after one game. I just can't go back to Warcraft 3 graphics after playing DG.

@Yeodan: Favor points are also given for most citadel upgrades, most gold earned, least deaths, most assists, most building destroyed, and most bubble gum chewed (just kidding about the last one [e digicons][/e] ).

With pugs, there is always the random factor (including some jerk chewing you out because you are a noob or you did something wrong or).
I think that a l
New players' stats tend to have very low win percentages, about 30% to 0%. So I assume they get discouraged to play Demigod because they don't get good experience from it.
The new in-game stats overlay should solve a lot of these problems. I suspect that it is not simply a problem of new players being awful. It's often a problem of new players wandering into games with experienced players (and premades) and not knowing any better.
I find it shocking that anyone would think the addition of ingame stats check would be detrimental to the community. All players should have the right to know who they're playing against, their win percentage and disconnects, and their familiarity with other teammates. Stats check won't kill the game, in fact I think it'll bolster it. It's probably safe to say that most Demigod players are puggers, so it's assuredly a feature that

^Yes, exactly what Cowbuttzex and Exotigo so eloquently stated (and some of what Lukas and Stack3d said a bit more bluntly). Sorry Pacov, but it's really hard to feel sorry for premades sitting around in unclearly marked game lobbies who get upset when asked if they are premade. I don't think that any rudeness is justified by anyone, but I think that the game will be improved by in-game stats that give people more information about who they are playing against. Much of

The problem with favor items in general is that they are scaled in power based on cost. Thus, it makes sense for a Charm of Life to be weaker than Blood of the Fallen since it is cheaper. However, once you can afford BotF, it makes no sense ever using the Charm again, and it thus becomes obsolete. As someone suggested before, all favor items should be the same cost in favor points and all improved to reflect the equal costs. Alternatively, there could be t

Great news. It was the lack of such lobby information that was driving me away from multiplayer. I personally think that premades will be fine and will be able to find games--there will just be less noob-stomping. Anyhow, I have always found it curious that some premades apparently do not want to play against other premades. Hmmmm....

It really depends on the situation at the end of the game. Three or four deaths is excessive--unless, of course, your team wins. However, 1-2 deaths while successfully locking a flag is acceptable in my opinion, assuming that your team has catapults and/or giants. With giants especially, it is likely that a locked portal will cause the enemy to lose the game or at least tie up 1 or more of their demigods as they try to recapture the flag and kill giants. Other than the first Dawn of War and its expansions (which are indeed classics), I'd suggest the following: 1. Rise of Nations (plus Throne & Patriots expansion): excellent history-based RTS game, with well-done strategic maps. 2. Battle for Middle Earth 2: best use of the Tolkien license that I've seen in any game. 3. Universe at War: huge fun and very diverse factions. Honorable Mentions: Dragonshard, Dawn of War 2, Dungeon Keeper 2,
