3. Demigods do not use minions when fleeing, may summon minions in combat.
Huh? Like, do the minions magically stop attacking when the DG is moving in an opposite direction of the enemy? What if you send your minions to fight and cover for you?

Some characters lend themself better for comebacks than others (Oak being one of them), simply because endgame > early game for them. I think the biggest flaw in Demigod is that there's very little room for cutting corners. The three biggest sources of progress are killing creeps, other DG's and taking flags. If a team gets behind, it can somethimes be very hard to pull some stunt to get back into the match (for example, by completely abondon flags and go for creep etc.) since they

btw, did I mention that....wait for it.... Desynch has been DETECTED!!!! Seriously, why do I have to read an error message once every 3 seconds telling me that desynch has been detected? And why do I need to click OK to make it go away every time when desynch will still be detected 3 seconds later while the game is still playable even though desynch has been detected and will continue to be detected? And btw, did anyone know that if Oak is in the middle

Playing Oak takes a lot of ego. Don't be afraid to back off from anything remotely dangerous, and run to your towers whenever you have to. Just make sure the game isn't over until you reach lv15+, which is when you start being able to hold off 2 DGs by yourself if you have the right gear. The x-axis is the amount of time you spend alive, and the y-axis is the amount of ownage you deal out. It starts off at negative since he sucks so much early game. <img src="ht
The problem was not the # of sockets but the precise timing needed in handing off the sockets. We didn’t realize until 2 weeks in that the scalability problem in Demigod’s MP matchmaking was due to the third party network library we used having up to 30 to 40 second delays once there were thousands of players on. During the beta, users ran into this problem too and the solution was to add more servers and increase the timing threshold from <1 second
I would think that a balanced game would "punish" (so to speak) such a character. Ease of use should correlate with difficulty in winning. But that does not seem to be the case.
If this were true, every skilled player who wanted to win would eventually have to pick Oak once they reached a certain level of skill and their opponents started doing the same. It should, however, be true that varied and difficult characters should have more op

Why is this even be a problem in the first place? How hard can it be to query the database and update a single integer?? Stuck at 600...

Fact is, the early game is very important in any resource-based competition (be it Starcraft or whatever), and as soon as one team gets the ball rolling, it will work in their favour. Trying to balance the game with regards to unskilled players (playing with skilled ones) or AI is pretty dumb, since it's not what the game should be about, or at least nothing that can be taken into consideration without affecting legit same-level play. Those ragequitters should drop the notion that the
