If one team starts to loose a game they should not run with their tails between their legs. Instead, keep fighting untill the game is over. That is called being a good sport.
*groans* "Running away like cowards" would imply that they play defensively. Saying "You won, good game" when there is no chance of making a comeback is being a good sport by admitting defeat. We're not referring to dying once and ragequitt

I think x-wing for dos is the last star wars game I felt was genuinely deep. It's also the last decent space sim out there, apart from freespace. I just hope they stick with that simulator aspect of it, and don't turn it into just some run of the mill third person action game.
P.S. And why the hell did the guy at shacknews post a review of a demo when the retail version has been out for 4 months? Why not review it?
It's specifically a 'demo impression' article, and to be fair, he does mention that it becomes fun once you figure it out, and didn't give it a half bad score. The demo also comes with the entire manual in pdf. It's a pretty light read and even has a really sh
Hm, sorry if I misinterpreted your games history, it's rather confusing with all the resets. Anyways, I've come across several Minion Erebus players who deal insane damage, mainly because they also skilled Bite which lowered my already low armor and had 10 Nightcrawlers and 6 idol minions attacking me simultaneously. This strategy makes them unbeatable on Prison. The very few Minion Sednas I've encountered so far were not nearly as dangerous.
I've come across a couple triple regs in the demo. I actually found the triple snipe to be less of an issue than them outranging our towers about a minute into the match.

Wondering about this gets you about as far as wondering why people try taking on towers at lvl1, or people buying the xp upgrades when we're either 20 or close to it. Personally though, I'll sometimes set it off on random if I'm full on mana or am heading back to base, just because it doesn't cost me anything. Using it as a finisher rather than an opener might be something that's not immediately apparent when you're more focused on other matters.

The better solution would obviously be to just make the AI better. The question is if that's possible. The problem with the AI as far as I've noticed is how he doesn't anticipate spikes of damage. He's basically a free kill even at full health, because he doesn't start running until he's rather low and is easy to finish off. I think the planned change of increasing his hp and lowering his reward sounds pretty good, but still a bit of a compromise. Additionally I'd definitely m

I never trusted room names, except maybe "[region] host" and "all welcome". Though I've been instakicked from even the latter a few times. In my experience, "pros only" means the host will throw a fit and blame the others if his team loses, and "noobs only" is when the host and his arranged team is looking to win rather than play. I'm garbage at demigod right now and I'd love to play with and against my own skill level, and will happily find another game if I'm asked to leave

I really liked the coop, but multi wore off quick for me. The matches just end up feeling really similar, and almost routine at times. I don't like in the new patch how you end up with such an ungodly amount of units, which goes against the thing I did like about the game to begin with - just microing a few squads around to their best potentiall. Nowadays I'm just boxselecting stuff and giving them general move or attackmove orders while I go do something else.

Regulus is the only DG in the demo with no interrupts (apart from the chance passive), making him innately worse off against potion users. If potions (and healing in general) is your bane, you could try one of the other DG's and use their interrupts.
You suck at theoretical math don't you... If my base damage is 225 (torchie or regulus at level one can easily get this) and I add 25 base to that I am at 250 damage.. and the 500 hp is wiped out in 2 hits...
That's not what he was trying to say. Without the 25 upgrade, you would still wipe out 90% of 500 in two hits. In order for the upgrade itself (not counting base damage) to outweigh the 500 hp increase,

I'm aware of the M hotkey, but something I feel is lacking (unless it's already there and I'm missing it), is an overview over what type and how many minions that are under my control. Quite often during a clash I'll have no idea which minions are still alive, save the M shortcut being grayed out signifying I have none. I find myself retreating them out of a battle just to see what all I have left - or if I have the mana for it, just systematically hitting 5 6 7 and listening for the
the problem is that people are facing a situation they do not adapt to and that is very limited to some levels. they do not plan the future.
I sometimes try for outright damage builds, but I find that it only gets worse during the latter part of the game. I'm completely new to the game and only have the demo - the retail is on it's way, woo - so I'm not calling this a fact, but entirely an impression. I do feel that there's no definitive counter to tanky builds, other than going tank yourself and making each skirmish a matter of attrition. This has become my "if I want to win" strategy, where other builds are purely for experimentation. I feel it's much more viable to outtank a damage dealer, than to outdamage a tank. Maybe it's related to the

The demo runs fine here and was one of the aspects that sold me on the game. Only occasionally do I end up with games where a user will lag the rest of us with his 2 simspeed or ping spikes of 1500. I've played a few 3v3's where some people have had 450 ping, and it runs just fine.

Am I the only one who don't really mind needing an internet connection for playing games? I'd rather do that than needing the dvd in my drive. On the annoyance level it's about the same score as 'having to enter the cd key'. That's assuming their service actually works and is consistently online of course. If I'm going to rag on it because I don't expect it to be, I'd just as well rag about cd keys not working and the disc being scratched when I buy it. I don't mind DRM as lon

I ordered mine from play.com for £18 with free shipping. If you're outside the UK you might have to pay a little more since they go by euros which is a different pricing scheme for some reason. Being in Norway myself who aren't part of EU, I got away with the GBP.

I'm a demo convert as well, haven't tried the game until that came out. I ordered it the same day as I found it really catchy and.. digestible, is a word that springs to mind. I didn't feel the demo was limited at all. The matches you play in the demo are identical (or so I assume, anyway) to the same setups should you have the full version, just in terms of no artificial level caps or disabled features. You can even unlock favour items. I don't mind the current reinforcement

What about cracked versions having more technical issues than the retail game? How do you know the pirated game is representative of the full one? The 'try before you buy' mentality would be all well and good if thats how all piracy went, but it's not. It's an easy scapegoat for anyone who tries for 4 months, gets tired of the game, and decides not to buy.
