Also don't forget that other games are coming out too. Left 4 Dead 2 is just ridiculously good, for example.

Good stuff.
That is very good advice...
But they're so soft and furry, what's the worst that could happen?

I think that you sum up the problem perfectly, which is that currently the items last the full duration of the fight and have become a standard for fight at any mediocre skill levels an
It's meant to be a temporary health boost, but with the 20 second duration it's effect lasts the full duration of every fight. Reduce its duration to 10-15 seconds so it actually expires mid-fight like it seems intended to.
I have to agree it's not a good change, not really sure what the thought process behind it is. If you lose your towers before you get rank 3 or 4 of your primary AoE you're doomed, if you keep them up it's a significant nerf. I really wish they'd change this to a % of the units' maximum health rather than a static amount.

Any reasonable people should be able to see both sides here; the players want to play the new DGs becaues they're bored, the devs want to ensure that players don't get attached to the DGs in their current form because they may be subject to change and they also want to get feedback on players playing against them, not just as them as is likely to happen if they're made available to everyone simultaneously. The players who are trying to say that there will be a more productive
Honestly I'd rather just buy an expansion 6-12 months from now. I love how this game plays, but ultimately I think they need a big capital infusion to justify overhauling the online setup and to get a clean slate on the game review sites to get people excited again. That being said, I would pay for mini-DLCs which have extra DGs as long as a few new, popular maps were added and playable by everyone and if I could be fairly certain people wouldn't just kick me out of their games for ha
I think double towers will grind them up actually, not to mention if you have a DG there to help defend. Honestly it's not like undefended towers were ever much of a deterrent for minions after level 7.
I have no idea who's being sarcastic so feel free to mock me if I've been too daft to pick up on it.
thats impossible to achieve in the first place... ud at least be level 2 [e digicons]:P[/e]
Torchbearer has 3.64 mana regen at level one, a MPS flag gives 15, so you'd be at 18.64. With an 80% scaled helm you'd hit 33 mana per second.
I really like HoB the way it currently is. What was the reason behind this change?
Probably because currently it makes your minions effectively invulnerable for 10 seconds.
Just give the scaled helm 400-600 mana, raise it to 40%, and call it a day. 80-100% would be absurd in conjunction with a vlemish or even worse on maps with mana flags. I really don't think 30 MP/S is necessary on level 1 characters.
That's not really an issue.
It is if the purpose of the partial release of the DGs is to help test their balance.
My guess would be that you either have this sort of hybrid live beta or we wait on an internal beta at GPG to be completed. If you let every player access these DGs you're just going to have a bunch of mirror matches.
Seems like an overly circuitous approach to fixing the yeti problem. It'd be easier to just buff yetis.
P.S. Well it wasen't a generalisation, but its playfield is bigger, coz more lanes take up more space.
The empty void in the middle of Leviathan adds more space than the additional lanes.
I think this is a really over-simplified explanation of the way things are. People don't just health stack because it's mathematically superior to picking up DPS item, they do it because ability damage is so high than you can be killed very quickly if you don't do it. Look at Oak+Sedna at level 10, for example. Penitence+Pounce alone does 1960 damage. If oak follows up with Surge II that's a total of 2482 damage in literally about a second and a half. If three players converge you can
No, for one giant hp stacks that can be achieved by the melee demigods shouldn't be possible without a high cost.
Why? You're begging the question.
P.S. More lanes means its bigger...
I hope you're trolling. By that logic Leviathan and Brothers are the same size, right? They both have the same number of lanes.
Superior damage against what? Honestly when I'm assassin oak vs. hybrid oak the spirits literally heal me for than they damage me. As UB I passively grind up the spirits and a shieldless oak is constantly on the run, for rook only a HoB spirit build can penetrate the towers, etc. etc. I used to play a spirit/hybrid oak myself, and I just don't think all that effective outisde of a few very specific matchups.
