Some remedial reading. Not all-encompassing, but a start.
What am I supposed to learn from that article? All I read was a reinforcement of my belief that the insurance companies are merciless. You want to call the mercy charity, that's fine by me, it's just semantics and doesn't contradict what I said at all. You are an extremist though. The vast majority of people who are opposing health care reform right now are doing so because they believe the system DOES
As far as I've seen, no one is saying that reform shouldn't come from the gov't, but that the reform should not include a gov't sponsored public option. There is plenty else the gov't can do, including as you said regulation about pre-existing condition (though there has to be some limit to this, otherwise people won't pay for health care until they get sick, go buy the health care, get treatment, and cancel the next month) and tort reform
That's the rub.
lets wait for trans 3 in 2011 and then a movie after trans 3 to decide that
Ridiculous.
Acclimation does make UB overpowered in long games where the winner is decided by who gets the most autoattack crits, as he's permanently taking way less damage than everyone else. It should probably be changed, but it's so rare that games reach that point and it'd have to be an extreme nerf to make it remotely fair, which would make it fairly useless in normal games.
HP/mana drain toggle wouldn't work simply because of the control setup in this game, regardless of its balance implications.
It hasn't been based on the assumption that men have more rights since women won suffrage. It's based on social roles and treatment. Women do still get paid less in many cases and face different social pressures and hostility than men. That being said I really don't like some of the negative stereotypes out there about men, but I've never personally felt disadvantaged because of them.

The only type of multiplayer game that's ever done stealth well is the RTS, and that only works because there are ways to protect yourself against it at all times if you build correctly. Stealth in WoW is complete garbage and to implement it well in this game would require major changes outside of adding the DG itself.
Although the movie is directed by peter jackson, there isn't much hype around it. He sorta hit peak in directing the lord of the rings, thrid installment. After than he just fizz out... even the first of the thee had more hype than this movie will ever get... dispite what the box office say.
So by that logic Transformers 2 is one of the best movies of all time and the director is amazing, right?
You're delusional if you think that an appreciable minority of feminists finds Starcraft even remotely relevant to feminism or if you think that being a white male justifies any hint of a victim complex.

This whole thread seems like a thinly veiled attack on the validity of feminism. It would be extremely easy to find dumb that a republican or democrat wrote and if I posted it with a title like "such and such as viewed by a democrat (or republican)" it would be identified as anti-dem/repub on the spot. So it is with this thread. The article is stupid and you found it on the internet. Shocking.
I just don't get why they need to give exp. If you do 2k damage to Sedna and she heals it and then gets healed by a priest you don't get exp. You don't get exp for destroying shields, surviving fireballs, etc., so why for minions?
Actually, it's going to make them a lot more likely, initially : it won't be 10 demigods, it will be 8 old and 2 new. For a coupla weeks after 1.2 is released, everybody's gonna want to fiddle with the two new demigods...
This is actually a really good point. If they release these a new DG, pull a lot of people back, and then only one player per team can pick that guy, people are going to be annoyed because you'll practically have to host your own game to try something new.

There is so little micro involved in playing Demigod there's really no need to cater to poor play when balancing, the effort required to get good is minimal.
Good

DotA had no records or ladder system so there's more incentive to do that sort of thing there. On DG most people who
WoW is an interesting reference here because it has two PvP systems in it, one which suffers from premades and one which does not. The one that does is the one with a very, very simple matchmaking system (roughly tries to match up by ilevel if that means anything to you) while arenas have a ranking system and consist solely of premades. Even though people hate premades in WoW's BG system you can still multi-queue or just quit and not have to deal with it without any marks on your reco
