Drakensang - Google it. it's a rpg in the really old school vein - you don't have to talk to all the characters about their feelings etc. it's based on a popular German pen and paper rpg and the game mechanics are interesting... I believe the story was written by an author who wrote some books in the world of drakensang. I liked it a lot, reminded me of those old dnd games like pools of radiance and curse of the azure bonds. Very combat orientated... if you're

Being able to build a temple to one religion or another would be interesting... I mean you build a temple to the Sovereign and that cancels out the ability to build a temple to one of several other god figures... but might have it own benefits to morale of your citizens - you get to choice what religion, if any, your kingdom follows by building a certain sort of temple. (or making a choice pre-game in character development) At a diplomatic level other cultures who followed the s

One of the many things I really liked about Master Of Magic was the buildings and Units that were unique to each race. I'm sure all this could done by modding. Or maybe they are planning a "fantasy creatures" expansion in 12 months with a bunch of new magical races - some magical units (i love the griffins etc) some racial buildings and some racial spells. Somehow I'm betting the modders will beat them to it - but then Multi Player will be a matter of what game mods are al

Hi... as always i haven't read through all the 100's of posts, so if this idea has already come up - or is already planned then no harm done... Been playing the beta a bit and it occurred to me that if we're going to have heroes in our service and want to form them into small parties it might be both fun and useful to have a tavern. The tavern/bar could be a simple interface button that opens up a panel and allows you to form the heroes into a group. You could then hit the

I just upgraded. At first it added shipping again - but as I progressed it got my original purchase records (name, address etc) and it then deleted the additional shipping, so i paid $21.50 Australian... The beta is a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to the actual release. I still have the original box from Master of magic and play it sometimes with Dos Box, The master of magic manual was invaluable - so I'm hoping the Elemental manual will even more u

Could we have an "always retreat" setting for caravans - I played the longest game i've managed so far last night and had 10+ caravans constantly being attacked by monssters and it got a bit boring to click the - run away - button every time. also would it be possible to assign a guard unit or units to a caravan? Caravan duty would be a good way to get a guard some experience and it would also mean you could protect your good and not have to always run away f

Firstly, I like the idea of a sovereign creation screen - customise appearance and maybe some skill points - is the sovereign good at magic? Combat? trade? Diplomacy? Creating magic items? Other interesting skills that fine tune game play. Make it's more of an RPG feel which I like. You could go a one off skills at creation - or a skill point to spend at each level which would mean a high level sovereign who speciali

I love the fact that impulse picks up my East India Company and stores my key even though I did not buy it on impulse. I just had a problem with a game I brought in 2007 I wanted to install and play it and the digital distribution system involved did not want to let me. That re

Having re-read the thread. I think I’ll rescind the training individual peasants and leave all that to the heroes… – I’d enjoy it but I think the game should be able to be easy enough for a novice to get into it and have the options for an advanced player to enjoy and the novice player to learn.<span style="mso-spacer

I've played a couple of games where I won accidentally by killing all the AI sovereigns. So this sounds like a good idea. In MOM the sovereign wasn't a game piece - I kind of like this better. All the power and all the risk makes for a much more interesting game. Maybe some spells to te

[e digicons]O:)[/e] I wanted to say thanks to the original poster. i'd almost decided not to try the game as i'm in australia and it might have ping problems - but i saw the code and decided i'd give it a go at that pri

HI all - I just found this website while looking for master of magic remakes. [e digicons]:D[/e] Demigod looks fun. I'm in Australia - whats the chance of playing Multiplayer all the way over her in australia? also - whats the total download size of the digital version? I'm on a limited bdget and therefore limited downloads so I thought I would ask before I buy. In general people seem to like the game - would y
