Kawazu- Your point is taken good sir, UB is powerful, his abilites are powerful, but I will refer you to shurdus' post above yours, his point remains. The UB is essentially an assasination powerhouse, mostly in melee range. but he cant engage in trickery like Erebus, he cant Range like Regulus, he cant have support units, tower farms, significant survival abilities. His only attributes are his speed, his visciousness and (if you itemize for it) his ability to tank damage. Grante
When I do play UB, I find him super easy to play.
Look dude, anyone can go pick up a demigod and go "BAM! HIT WITH STICK! YOU DIE!", just as you can do that same action with virtually any game. Just because you personally find it easy to play (which depends entirely on who you were playing/ what strat they used/ were they bots?) doesn't mean that the character is necessarily overpowered. The grand strategy of this game is not like other games. the game is
What, were you fighting bots? You had enough time to max Ooze and Spit and pick up the rest of that stuff. Thats a LONG match.
Meh, different strats, I find that with monk minions/ vlemish faceguard I need the extra regen less than I need the boosted damage or more spirits. Granted the extra burst healing/ mana regen would be nice, but usually by level 10 im already jumping into sieging down towers etc. and focusing less on creep support/ assasinations.
Hey dude, I wouldnt advise maxing out the "heal on kill" ability, I usually just get the first rank because its the most cost effective for the points (1 point, 10%) compared to the other ranks (2 points, 15%/ 3 points 20%) And then jump straight into other abilities, if im like level 20 and theres nothing else to grab (Not likely!) then maybe ill start ranking that up, but usually there is something else I would rather have.
Not a fan of every man for themselves. Simply because it usually means that one group strikes up an alliance, and we all know where the game goes from there. The dumb players will ally with the stronger players to take out the weaker players, the smart players will ally with the weaker players to take out the stronger players, and the smarter players will pretend to be weak to ally with the weaker players, and take everyone out. Replying to the guy referencing SupCom when it first came out. Yes. If you notice the "stardock impulse" is almost exactly the same as GPGnet, I think they just copied over large swaths of code from SupCom and GPGnet software, but didnt check it carefully enough to see how it meshed with the new content/ game structure. So now were going through the same revision process SupCom had (and still has to some extent) Hopefully well get quicker fixes this time.
Uhhhh.... its usually good form to post a little bit more information about your clan/ the recruitment process/ how you operate.
My point being that at best he pulls off a murder suicide, despite the slight gain of gold we really could use the sniping during that 30 second respawn. IMHO if your going to do suicide runs against enemy DG's early game you do it on UB, not on Regulus. Also, to provide a bit of background, this same guy, playing regulus as a sniper, tells me and my other friend (Oak, TB) at the beginning of our last game "you guys are gonna have to get all the citadel upgrades, im saving up
LoL I have a friend who plays regulus who thinks its totally cool to murder/suicide chase an enemy behind their towers. He is absolutely convinced hes hot shit. Every time he chases them back I pray to god he dies without getting a kill, I figure eventually he will learn his lesson.
You know strangler, I've been watching you post around the forums, and I gotta say, your not a very cuddly guy. In all seriousness though, maybe if you were a little more polite/friendly about it instead of "after repeatedly screaming at my team to lock a flag they cap" they might consider it with a little more seriousness, instead of being offended/yelling back.
Yea, I just bought this game a few days ago, and I started with oak, maybe its just because he fits me well, but I havent had any of these problems you mentioned, of course, I am also totally comfortable with running like a chicken with my head cut off. Its true though, levels 1-5 your basically stuck with just slowing the enemy DG's down/ creep killing for xp.
Oak player here, I'm not that experienced but IMHO the best way to deal with this is to play like a complete pussy. You see more than one of them near you and you book it. Buy the boots of speed, they are useful when you need to get out of dodge and for flag capping. Pick up at least rank 1 of penitence so if they start to chase you can slap em with it and run. Spend your time running to empty flags and capping them, lay down spirit wards whenever you have to k
