I think we'll all be on tonight (Friday) until 11 or so. Chiefy is moving on Saturday, so hopefully we can get his internet hooked up by Saturday night. Yes, gg last night pacov and co. We've got to figure out how to improve our end game. Once again, we were up a WS (but down on kills) and got whupped starting around level 11 or so.
BadDaddy8
We were hoping to finish up vs. jogalt, nom and thunder then start playing pacov, I guess.
Yes, pacov, I recognizr that the teams that will make it to the end will most likely be the teams having success, i.e. Tier 1 teams. So thanks for your offer. We'll look you up.
SCHEDULE A GAME WITH US PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not a problem pacov. However, I am a bit hesitant to play jongalt, then you, then mcshane, then 4nana, then Zen_God. If we start 0-15, I'm not sure trouser is going to stay interested. [e digicons] Seriously, since we only had one practice game, I was hoping that we could find some Tier 2 games to get our mojo going, so that we at least have a chance of stealing a game here and there fr
Jongalt: You wanna finish whupping us on Friday? We should all be available then. There is a possiblity of us all being on tonight around 8:30 EST, and if so I'll track you down. Anyone else looking for games tonight or Friday should track us down.
Same thing with Oak (Post-Penitence) . Was supposed to be better after the last patch, but I think it has gotten worse.
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=beaucoup
I'm assuming people are just pretending that they don't know Eightball, but just in case: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8x968FQiqs If there is still an error, sorry. Just watch Full Metal Jacket FFS.
LOL. You know who is on our team before we do. Hilarious. I haven't spoken to trouser since our game Friday night. You were wrong... he wasn't rusty at all. He played his first game back against McShane and co. and ended up with 7 kills, 1 death as Reg in a game that Chiefy and I blew despite hitting WS 10 first. In other words, he lives up to the hype and we are happy to have him. HOWEVER, he is a hard guy to stay in touch with, since I can't really Vent during the week, and he doesn
@ 4Nana: I do feel sorry for those of you walking around with 65% plus win rates trying to get a pug game in when no one you know is on. At 52% it is easy. You guys are often expected to carry the two 40%ers, cause that is soooo much fun for you. It's kinda like Eightball: "Lookie here. This here is a fine piece of Alabama blacksnake. But it ain't too goddamn beaucoup."
It was occuring to me today that I have probably stolen an hour or of work time today to cruise and reply on these forums. That will probably continue for the rest of the work week, giving me 5 hours of forum time by weeks end. Factor in an hour or so each weekend day (10 minutes here, 15 minutes there, check my email, new reply on this post, check that out), and I am up to 7 or so hours a week. However, I will, if I am lucky, squeeze in 3 hours of actual play time on Friday and Saturday each
The most frustrating aspect of this is when you are sitting in a lobby and Light fills up with 3 decent or better players. You think, "Great this should be a good game." Then the guy who is 65 games/ 38% shows up on Dark. Then you spend the next 20 minutes watching other decent players show up then immediately drop when they see the noob on their team, before you can even type, "Hey we'll balance this, just stick around." Some just don't want to play with a player who is less experienced, but
A bit off-topic, sorry. ('Til my computer had it's once every few dozen games crash. Sigh.) Blue screen, physical memory dump & stuff? I'm only asking because I suspect I have the same problem. In my opinion, it's graphics card-related. It usually happens when there is a lot of creeps/spell effects on screen AND you are trying to zoom in/zoom out. However, that's not always the case. The statistics are roughly the sam
I'm always up for this. I for one often find myself in the position of, "Hmm, it's me and some pugs vs. nomilarac, Zex, and broken_strong. Guess I'd better play Oak, AGAIN." Or, "Here are some total noobs cause no one else is on. Doesn't matter who I play, we're going to win." It is good to be able to practice a Dg that you really want to get better at, but never dare to play against talented players for fear of costing your team the game. One of the most fun matches I played
Agreed, agreed, agreed.
That's great news, pacov. Thanks for hooking that up. That's why you da man. I'll pm him now. Edit- Can't find a post by trouser to pm him with. If you talk to him, we will be on vent around 10 tonight.
Right. And as hybrid Oak my strength is inversely proportional to minion Oak's (and LE for that matter); after he takes your towers down, there is little else he can do. When I texted Chiefy that i had just won a game versus a double minion team with a Yeti Sedna on our side, he was like, "Let me guess, Zex."
Thanks Zex. And for the gg last night. Double-minion is sooo annoying.
Thanks pacov and co. We're working hard to replace Lord_Orion, and hope to do so over the weekend. If anyone runs into a mid-level or higher player looking to join the tourney late, please have them PM me.
That would be great, Jongalt. An "introduction" might be fitting, since I think I/we only have played a handful of games with him.
Good suggestion, but already tried. He said that with his Aus. time zone, he had decided it would be difficult to play when all us ESTers were on, which I found odd, since I encounter his hosted games more regularly than probably anyone else's, but whatever. Yes, he can be on the curt side, which we have both learned the hard way, but was gracious enough in our correspondence. Thinking of hosting some "Need a Tourney Player" lobbies this weekend and seeing who drops in. I'd pl
Yeah, thanks for the encouragement Jongalt. We have been in touch with several people, to no avail. Anyone else who we play with regularly is already engaged. Maybe when we get on this weekend we can get someone to sign up.
I'll keep my ear to the ground for a replacement and for orion as well if he doesn't surface soon. I share your concern and hope everything is ok with him. I know you guys have been trying to get a replacement and want to make this happen.
Thanks, pacov.
It looks like we are going to be unable to play in the tournament. Cheify and I haven't heard from Lord Orion in nearly 2 weeks, and it is looking less and less likely that we will manage to get our games in this week. We have tried to recruit several other players, but due to scheduling conflicts or other reasons, we have been unable to find a replacement. Jongalt, I would wait till Friday to remove us from the Results Tracker, on the extreme off chance Orion surfaces, but if you hear nothin
That's unfortunate. I know exactly what you are talking about; I am in the same position. I have taken a few weeks or a month off from Demigod to play something else, live life, or because it was nice outside (imagine that!), come back, hopped in a Mid+ game 'cause my stats are still okay, and been reamed for missing a Shield on a player that over-extended his stupid ass. Sorry you don't have the energy to devote to finding good people in Demigod. It is a great game when you do! If th
Thanks pacov. I realized that right after I posted. I appreciate the info, though. Maybe I will track down Morpheus. He can hook us up with gigs of Asian women pics, too. [e digicons][/e]
