When a team has clearly abandoned the tourney (and this will sadly happen for sure) due to whatever reason, i agree the best solution will be to just forfeit any points won by any team against the teams that abandon the tourney.
There's got to be something more fair than robbing a team of points just because their former opponents drop out. Let's say two teams A and B, have each won four matches 2-1 so have 8 points each. One of team A's former opponents, team C drops o

Fine, fine. I just meant there should be a final match of some kind. I suppose after a round robin, the top two teams playing best of three or five would be sufficent. So, Option 2. IS RAWWRR voting but not playing?
Option one or two. That's what people want to see replays of with commentary.

Are we playing tonight Orion? And is there anyone out there looking for practice games tonight with tourney rules 9-11EST?
In what other sport do you get points for losing? Soccer?
Round Robin+ High Towers= Many, many hours of Demigod over the next few weeks= Relationship Damage for us married folks. One or the other. Round Robin: Yes High Towers: No
Another vote for Zex/ Nom's list. Make it two votes, I'll speak for Chiefy. KISS.
I think we can get carried away with trying to balance it exactly completely fairly. So you ban oak/le/ub, because everyone would play that. Then you ban rook/ub/oak if the first isn't allowed, then everyone plays that. And so on... If you created a ranking of what the community agrees were the best combos in order, every time you ban one, the next one down becomes the "obvious" choice, until every match is da/reg/tb. I think beyond Orcun's list, we are just heading down a sli
I'll leave it to those with more experience with all the DGs to hash it out, but what I am seeing in any format is that the most powerful and obvious combos are all-general combos, whether it is Oak/LE/ QoT or Oak/Qot/Occ. Maybe some other rule (not to complicate things further) of 1 general, 1 assassin, 1 whatever, per team? The more rules, the more annoying it usually is, but it might be more fun in the long run.
pacov you matchmaker you- you can lock chiefy, Lord_Orion and I down as a team. Thanks
So - we actually managed to pair up bad daddy/chiefy/and orion tonight. 1 game they beat me ill and some other guy (but they had 2 rooks and we had so so). Game 2 - it was me/nom/ill (rook/da/rook) vs bad/chief/orion (tb/rook/rook). So, it was somewhat even. Nom pulled off a few good gank kills. chief was holding me back early game in a rook v rook duel. But I think we edged them out in skill level in rook v r
And I vote Round Robin. The more games the better. Is anyone getting in a ton of truly quality demigod games otherwise?

Hey Pacov, Can we maybe get the OP highlighted/ color-coded with the teams that are set so that those of us looking for a third or are currently solo can see who is available to recruit? Thanks.
chiefy and bad daddy are in. Just pm'd me. Add to the op.
Yes, we're in and looking for a third, if anyone is sitting around without a team. We've both only been playing sporadically lately (I'll be honest here) but we'll both try to get as many games in as we can to get ready for the tourney.
Both my brother and I have run into several desyncs with him. I have no doubt he is a cheater.
Even if you are getting the game now, when the community is fading, if you have a few friends you can get into it, you can still play enjoyable games for quite a while. It is one of the best games I have played.
Doesn't AoE take out Oak's wards too? Sadly, I have never payed close attention, but it seems that in some games as Oak it is much harder to keep an active ward up and I think it is 'cause Circle of Fire or Rain of Ice is taking them out.
Well there are those of us who play less annoying Oak builds. I would instead go with waiting to see if he drops a ward level 1 and then concede before three minutes. If you really aren't interested in facing this build.
Anyone want to post this minion build? I've played against a bunch of them, but rarely remember to save replays. Not that we want every noob out there trying it, but I'm curious how they go. Just spirits/ morale through level 10? Occasionally there is a shield or penitence thrown in there. Anyone? I agree. It is the most boring build to play, and the most annoying/ boring build to play against. It is good to see realistic strategies for stopping it. Hopefully we can put an end to this
Great guide, Hedgie. Thanks. I don't play Sedna much but this helps me understand her a lot better. And it is great to see any guides written with the current meta-game in mind.
Finally got back to playing Demigod, and first game back got this Oak bug to trigger. It happened when at level 11 I took my first rank of Ward, planted it in a creep wave, and immediately (after a Surge) had 10 Spirits. Let me say, RAAWWRR's build is a lot more effective when you get ALL your spirits at level 11. [e digicons]^_^[/e] Up until 5Nana dropped, it was a good game too, although we were gonna lose from the start, since I couldn't slow down OMG-Zex's Rook.</p
