The only way I'd want to see shields in this game is if a hard counter unit is made, such as the absolver from FAF. As for artillery.. I never understood the whole excitement about the issue. For one, no one builds t2 static artillery in competitive FAF. Why would you? They cost 1.6-2k mass, and you're trading an inaccurate static piece for 5-10 t2 mobile tanks. The only artillery that could be efficiently useful was t3 static arty. At this poin

I can't find who posted it, maybe it was the guy who posted the youtube video.. But someone reported ground units flying through the air. I have seen this multiple times, and I believe I may know why it's happening. I find I can repeat this bug when you have many units spread across various valleys and mountains. If I select all these units, and form them all into 1 meta unit, some units fly into the air. I think this is because the u

I'm just going to quip in here and remind everyone that the game is still very early. Not everything is in the game. When the game is more complete, as opposed to what we have now, we will be better able to determine how good Turinium nodes are as a mechanic. Just calm down, yelling and arguing aggressively never solves anything :)! Let's try to be civil and have a good discussion..

I haven't used them extensively because I feel you can get more done by investing in the lower tier units. The t3 ships are just to slow. The offensive ship is the one I'll use if I do make them. I guess they add some good damage and act as a large damage sponge. The artillery capital ship has a missle barrage that fires every so often that abolsuelty demolishes everything. But it is to slow. And I beleve it has same range as t

Wow has this patch changed the game. I've had so much fun playing! 1) It seems I crash more often with the patch. I havn't really even gotten to "middle game" yet, game usually crashes before early game is over. 2) I've noticed that if you have at least 6 engineers assisting a factory, sometimes the units being produced get stuck on each other. In other words, some units start clipping, and stay on the factory decal (ins

UGG was a fun game to back because the studio was so small you could get almost immediate replies from all the devs! Was very cool to me. This is why I'm really like AoS so far since you guys seem to be really involved in the forums and passionate about what you are trying to do! Anyway, after 79 hours on UGG I still find it a game that is fun to come back to every now and again, even though it is only one battle. You can always try something different and the AI a
Quick question Have you experienced anything odd in their prioritization of the generators? It seems to me regardless of the difficulty they focus on map control and will often not focus units on the generators anymore than any other point often leading to their lose.
Yes I have. I indirectly touched on this in part 1, #4. I have experienced the AI by passing certain generators all together, att

Gotcha! But I assume all units and buildings cost the same to them correct? So when they build the 1st factory, they drain the starting metal pool very quickly correct? Do you know the exact bonus the AI gets from resource deposits? If I understand correctly it means the ai gets more metal per metal deposit per tick right?

Can a dev please list out exactly in what ways the painful and insane AI is currently buffed? Based on my other post just now, I know that they have a massive build time buff, but is there anything else? Health and armor bonuses? Starting resouce bonus? Thanks! Trying to keep all my questions as logical and clutter free as possible so I made another post! - Shurtugalll

TheRealWarpstorm, Here is a complete post about what I see in the AI right now (you said in my last post to mention anything I think the AI is doing wrong). I'm writing it now as I have successfully defeated the insane AI on Xendar, Cerius, Altar, and Deneb in a 1v1. I'm going to break this up into three parts. Part three is by far the most important to me. How to (seemingly) most easily defeat

Agreed. Very much agreed on #5. I have actually felt rather sick sometimes scrolling through the large maps constantly looking for armies and factories. I just feel so claustrophobic, and I just don't know.. the rapid scrolling is just hard on my eyes or brain or something and it doesn't make my feel so good hahah xD
camera zooming sometimes freaks out and it glitches uder the map or just snaps to a certain view height for a sec. Also sometimes the camera clips into the terrain. Sometimes it zooms out 100% when zoomed in and th

Just played my 1st skirmish against the painful AI. It was on the map seton as a free for all. Unfortunately the game crashed before conclusion, but I did eliminate 1 AI seed, and was minutes away from bagging the other one one on my side. 1) The game spawned me and 2 AI on the same side, and the 3rd AI by itself on the other side. Was fully expecting to get steam rolled by the lone AI (since it could grab the southern land mass unmolested), but it never actual

Frogboy, I'm really happy with the amount of content and changes! Seems you liked my heat map idea! Though I'm sure you guys had already thought of that xD As of right now I have to say that I will want to play around with all the changes before I say anything. I can see some potential issues with some of the abilities but I will have to wait and see. Few tidbits though.. 1) I don't think a build
also played a lot Supcom/FA, but i was not playing with icons in zoom out mode. I was taking advantage of zooming out to get a clear understanding of the battlefield, then i was zooming in and giving my orders. Having icons was really usefull to remember where all my units were located.
This is something I 100% agree with. I also never played constantly zoomed out messing with a soup of icons. &n

Another thought! Again, just throwing all this out there.. Perhaps a system similar to what was used in Hegemony: Ancient Wars of Greece. In this game when you were zoomed in close you could see individual soldiers, cities, trees, trade routes etc. However, when you zoomed out far enough, the world literally became a paper map and everything was represented with "monopoly icons". Armies became big soldiers, cities had a building icon, towers had

Hi! Here's a splurge of ideas! Figured this way you could pick and choose items from all the ideas! 1) Adopt a zoom function similar to what R.U.S.E had. As we zoom out, individual units "morph" into a bigger single unit (representative of all those units). More units equal a bigger stack. I could see this working when you have armies with t3 in them, where you could zoom out, and you would just see your big t3 sh
