Torch Bearer. Sometimes as Sedna. Still cannot purchase minions. How do i know if i am playing a general ?

Hey all, got a question. since last week, everytime i go to the item shop, there is no Minion tab, I can still get armor and potions and stuff but not minions. Can anyone help ? Tom
