Grrrr..... [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] Wish I was not an impatient trick. I got frustrated and deleted the whole Demigod file, but oh well, thanks for the help guys. Guess it doesnt really matter anyway, but do u guys remember the file locations to give myself another 10k favor on single player for new builds/etc.? Thanks again!
Has anyone else been getting this? I don't know what the bug is called but it's happened before a time or two in demigod, but after restarting the game went away. Since the patch today I can start a SP tournament, but have not been able to start a skirmish or MP custom game. Is there a quick fix I'm missing? Hangs on the load screen w/ the map in the background, w/ the map name in the screen center, but [no txt] where game type should be. Thanks for any hel
Yeah, it has a bug similiar to Sludge Slinger. However, Yeti-minion builds are rarely terrifying
WRONG!! They always terrify me when they are on my team [e digicons]:omg:[/e]
So, I know there have been a few posts a while ago about 'universal truths' or whatever, and if this is or gets redundant, just let it die-- anyway, here we go. An all random game inspired me to write this: we were sed, rook, da (i think, my memory is shot) against ub, ub, da. I assumed we were dead as long as they got priests out quick, but we stayed together and helped each other when needed and won the game. The interesting part was my rook (i think shiro) capped a portal
lol. Open minion queen build is actually her best build and even competitive in high level games with tier I chars. But dont tell anyone.
Sounds fun!! Post the basic build then [e digicons][/e]
A tower lane on each side with a third player (preferably a general) bouncing back and forth is pretty much unbeatable. Once you max out towers you start maxing hammer slam, I just don't know what could stop it if both rook were good.
LOL- we actually did almost ecactly this today (2 rook, oak- vs. sed, ere, reg) except...... both rooks weren't good [e digicons]o_O[/e] (i was rook for fun, i'm not great with him).
So, I've been (and will continue) playing a lot of 'all random' games for the sheer JOY and diversity (hence the joy) that it brings. For me, it's the closest thing that I can do to play a variable game that is mostly unexpected and new short of: a complete favor balance, or super nerf of BoF (while those two may actually be the same thing). Oh yeah, the OP. So the all random game turned out to be all assasin: my team [da, beast, rook(me)] vs. rook, rook, tb. At firs
I have to say that at least lately, my favorite (and most rare) teammate is a good GREAT rook, especially with some or full slam. Please join my games! (only if ur on my team) [e digicons]-_-[/e] Maybe it's because I appreciate now someone who is effective with the characters that it takes more skill to use (i.e. not ooze UB or LE).
Maybe you just suck really bad with it.... seems more logical to me than ur statement about assasins at least [e digicons][/e]
They still wouldn't be great.
PARTY POOPER!!! [e digicons]:hrmph:[/e]
LOL Shake... Well, thanks to Zech and Levi for actually addressing the OP with a good effort. Now if I can only unlock that hidden favor item that makes yetis invincible! (only 150,000,000 favor points to go!!)
What do you mean viable? I can make one up that is more viable than reg, queen, DA and most TBs. The main problem is that non yeti builds are just better and everyone knows it. Yetis are not that bad but always worse than non yeti builds. What you are really wanting is for GPG to ballance the game, since they appear not to want to at the moment the best thing you can do is go to the mod forums and support ballance mods.
What, no one has a sense of humor on here anymore??? [e digicons][/e] Seriously though, I know its all over the forums how worthless Yetis are, and I know you can't change certain FACTS in this game (yetis may be FOREVER SUCKY), but that's why it's worth a million dollars!! The heart of this post though, is that I REALLY REALLY REALLY want more variety in builds while I'm playing. A few problems generally forbid this, 1.) hp stacking has been pretty firmly es
O....................................................K................................................. So, this list is getting pretty long, and while I personally think the list has changed from 'best players' to a list of 'highly skilled demigod players,' or 'very good players' list' or something like that, I for one am thankful for a one stop shop for those of us left who like to play at non-noob levels. Granted, I'm no pro, nor do I think I belong on the OP intended list, b
Just play for fun. If you want to give the weaker demigods a try but don't want to lose games, only play with those demigods when the teams are stacked in your favor. You can also give the weaker demigods a try when the both teams are mixed with different skilled players, in which case you can feed off the weaker players and avoid the stronger ones. If the strongest opponent is UB though, make sure you're a good support demigo
Okay, so this is a fairly meaningless post, but oh well. I'm apologizing to my teammates for whining [even though I know the odds of them actually reading this are slim-none]. I HATE WHINERS in game, and I am a huge proponent of playing for fun, having fun, and not taking games too seriously-- so the fact that I let teamwork frustration get to me the last few days is sadly unacceptable. So......I apologize for acting like a chode, like many of the idiots I've run into I hate
Quoting Legolan, reply 11 Quoting wallstop, reply 7Hahaha, I had a game with a yeti sedna. Except it was hilarious. I'm pretty sure the player knew they were horrible but was using them just because. I've gotten an insane amount of noob-teammate games. = horrible win ratio = hosts/players who haven't played with me kicking me for thinking I'm a noob (I'm average). It's incredibly frustratin
DA is good in a team with 2 tier1 DG's when all 3 know how to play. Yes 1v1 he may not be much use vs a general, but 1v1 is pointless anyway. In a 2v2 or 3v3 fight DA is godly useful to have on your team. At one point it used to be reg that got in the final shot on the runners, now its DA and he's much more effective at it. AND he's got warp area which is a 3 sec immunity to dmg when he feels like he is about to get bursted (ala rook hammer, or an er
And here I about had a heart attack wondering how in the world Demigod became Uber popular overnight with a lobby FULL of games.... [e digicons]>_>[/e]
Okay, cool, so I guess it is generally accepted that the 2-3 artifacts one should get are dependent more on the game situation rather than the demi? Thats fine, and thanks for the help, I was just looking more for a "beast/oak/sed/ere is indestructable with bulwark, girdle, ashkandor....U get those with him, u should never, ever, ever, (ever) die" kind of advice. [e digicons][/e]
Both helpful, thanks a lot. Shiro: yeah, i've read that about those-- I'm just wondering what order to get which ones with which demi if a game ever comes to that (i guess max three cause even in a 'for fun, or one-sided non conceder game' i've never been able to get more than that).
Okay, so maybe the info is somewhere here on the forum and I've missed it (probably is knowing my luck) [e digicons]>_>[/e] , but here's my predicament: I play for fun, but I also love winning, so I read the forums as often as I can-- anyway, my favorite games are big battles (4v4, 5v5 if it were playable) and I sometimes find myself with enough gold to dabble at the arty shop (especially if the war score isnt high enough to buy creep upgrades) so I was wondering if th
Thanks alot! I actually did get a valid response from stardock too....IMAGAINE THAT! Said i would need 20 consecutive ports to make the game work and the University system has no more than 5 consective ports on the WHOLE NETWORK! Ha! Thanks anyway kryo!! PS, its not my internet- IM GOOD- question was for a friend of mine im trying to help [e digicons][/e]
