The ISD I and II are considerably superior to the VSD II, due to stronger shielding, three times as many fighters, and the heaviest laser armament of all the cruisers in the game; with only the Nebula SD nearly matching the ISD I. Starbases are indeed being worked on, and are currently ingame

The Empire uses lasers, and in Trek the navigational deflectors alone can stop lasers cold. That said, their overall destructive potential is about the same...it's just that lasers are no good against Trek defenses. Fortunately, the Empire has plenty of non-laser-based weaponry (or at least they did

Ive replaced the capitalship_Race 1 colony.mesh with the Galaxy.mesh from Soa2. How do i make the game read the cl.dds, da.dds and the nm,dds texture files for the galaxy? My idea is to

For now, suffice to say that the Emperor is a wholly new class of ship, a battlecruiser. It doesn't have the usual stuff capital ships have, like fighters or the ability to attack planets, but it can chew through other ships like few other can. Also, it

You need to download Impulse. Patching for Sins of a Solar Empire is through Impulse, somewhat similar to how Valve patches their games through Steam. Impulse will patch Sins to v1.191, the current (IIRC) version. You'll also be able to acquire the Entrenchment, Diplomacy, and even the upcoming Rebellion expansion through the service, should you choose to purchase (or preorder, in the case of Rebellion) the expansions.

I don't have a problem with calling Episode IV A New Hope, but when it was originally released, it was just Star Wars, and there was no hint that a trilogy was afoot. Even the Episode IV title at the prologue wasn't added until after Empire. I don't necessarily hate the first two movies. I'm just disappointed in them, as it seems to me that the character interaction in Episodes I

My personal plans: Get it, definitely. When, no idea. I actually managed to snag the Portal during the (what, last May?) promotion event Valve did where they offered it for free! as a way to advertise Steam's expansion into the Mac market. Probably the biggest draw for me is the fact that Portal was just so much fun, and Portal 2 looks even more so. Doesn't hurt that we finally get to figure out what happened to Chell and GLaDOS. Oh, yeah, and funny Br

I can't really describe just what gave me that feeling, but it seemed to me that the show's bent was oriented around deriding American combatants in the Korean theater. Also, Oatesy, have you checked my 40K-ST crossover that I published? (links further up on the page)
