Archon_Saar, Looking at the stats and the mini-map, it's not immediately clear that you were winning. 2 kills vs 1 isn't that significant lead, lvl 10 vs lvl9, ahead in gold but slightly behind in flags. It could be just a disconnect (which are quite frequent), in which case the host's computer will automatically report it as loss for you.

It doesn't look like an 'exploit' to me, but it's annoying enough to make the game not fun any more. So I don't play vs Ereb on Crucible, and if i host a Crucible game I put 'no Ereb' in the label. I know, lame, avoiding what I don't like.. but it makes the game more fun.

Oculus has not been enabled yet for most players, so officially you can't play him (though AIs can). There's a mod though that lets you play Oculus: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/369721

I have only two counters right now. Attack someone else to make oak waste his shield, or spam stun when he gets under 1500hp to finish him off. Both are freakin hard to pull out in PUG teams. I find it's hard to time shield cast to avoid an incoming slam or fireball, but it's pretty damn convenient when someone on your team is getting focus-fired. Some of my uses for Shield 3: (1) Go up to a portal tower on cataract (usually with monks and siege, maybe spirits), start hammering at it. If someone TPs in, keep hacking at it until you're almost dead, then shield+tp out. Come back when shield/tp cooldown is almost done. Can usually down a porta

That's a good idea actually. Maybe i can play Reg on cataract again this way. I've done something similar before: hosted a couple 'no ereb' games on Crucible largely to avoid the warp-behind-your-portal-cap-portal-batswarm-out trick.

I use the UI mod that displays teammates' mana and equipment. Usually I forget it's there and don't pay attention to it.

Yeah, level 3/4 is probably a bit early for that. I usually start going for the portals after level 8 or so, no earlier than level 7 as Oak (when I get Shield 3), and only if the corner tower (but not necessarily portal towers) is already down. With respect to the experience math, the XP from the second wave actually gives full creep wave experience to all players on your team; that means in 3v3 that's 231*3 = 693 experience. Plus whatever XP you get by killing a wa

Assuming you are competent eough not to die 1) This screws you out of XP in your lane 2) Almost ensures you will need to leave the lane to heal 3) You can't hold it, so you just gave them flag XP and and an extra creep wave XP/Gold) [/quote] This actually isn't very accurate. Have to agree with OP with respect to 'pro'. A 'pro' here is not like a 'pro' in e.g. Starcraft, where 'pro' = 'professional' = actually makes money by playing the game. 'Expert' is probably a better term.

I'm always struggling if we're in a back and forth (close game) and I have an open lane (or one I can push); should I: 1- Cap all flags on the way to Portal (and waste time doing it, but get HP bonus and Gold bonus) preventing them from porting behind me; or 2- Go straight to portal flag and then work backwards (i.e. Gold, then mana/hp)? I forgot to mention that shield III is pretty good BUT, the same applies: it costs a lot of skillpoint and the real use is either to extend your life or safe you with a shieldport. I'm not a pro, though i usually play Oak, mostly assassin. Looking at your replay, a few notes: 1) You kept both your monks for yourself. Due to the way monks work, two wouldn't heal you any more than one, so might as well give one to one of your mates, usually one who does more melee fighting (UB in case of that game). 2) At around 4:00, you went for the XP flag instead of defending the tower. One demigod is sometimes enough to chase two away from a tower, a

I'm not a pro player, but your reasoning seems to make sense. If the opponents are pushing 3v2 with me on the other side of the map, i'd start pushing on my end myself because (1) there's no one to oppose me and (2) it might actually get the opponents' attention and they'll tp in to counter me. I'd keep an eye on the confrontation though, and if my presence is needed i'd teleport in (usually if my teammates are really not doing well or if there's a good gank opportunity). </p

QoTs usually don't have a lot of HP and rely on their shields/allies to stay alive. Focus-fire it for a while with your allies, and it should die quickly. When fighting vs QOT /UB combination (or any QOT combination), make sure to focus on QOT if she's in range, because she's the weaker of the two. Make sure to keep casting any supporting spells while doing that (heals, penitence, etc).

I've played a game where i ended up 1v1 vs opponent in his/her creep wave (with lots of catas/giants). The op used the orb, and i had to back up because sticking around for extra 5 sec would have lost me a lot of HP.
