Orb of defiance seems cool. At 3750 it's kinda steep. Invulnerable for 5 seconds is great, along with the 500 health and armor buffs (from demigoddb.com hopefully its still up to date on this one). Only gripe is you can't move, attack, or use items or spells. So you're kinda just sitting there. Is there a cast time? Or is it instant cast... can it be interrupted? Also, if you have it on, can the enemy still try to spit / grasp / bite / charm etc. in that 5 second time frame and lose their coo

Can I make a request? Periodic ladder resets, say every 3 months. Create "ladder seasons" At the end of each "season" (3 months) crown a DG ladder champion, reset ladder xp points, then do it all over again. Keeps the game fresh and encourages new players to keep trying.
Well, there are far better and more experienced players out there than me, but I'll put in my 2 cents. First, this thread has a lot of great ideas/suggestions for what items are under- and over-powered: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/354365 I certainly agree with a lot of what's on that list. Best items (in no particular order): 1. Banded Armor <br

I agree. Ranking games that have different settings doesn't rank anything at all. The measuring stick needs to be level for all players, otherwise you'll never know who's really the best.

Another thing to consider is this. The game isn't all that deep. Not much to it. A noob won't remain a noob that long. 4 weeks, 5 games every other day or so, pay attention to how you lose and why, and pay attention to how you win and why, and you'll be better than 90% of the dg players.

Nope, just a game. Not enough depth to be a hobby. If you have RTS experience, in 1 month you can learn the tricks on the 5 popular maps, learn how to use every dg, learn all of the items, learn all of the favors, learn all of the cit upgrades. Now, with replays and this forum, learning is even quicker. Next step is to make a pre, but once you do that, you realize that other pre's won't want to play other organized teams, they prefer to smash pugs

Beast and sedna should be enough to push the Health flag... always keep rook alone. You want people to ignore him... then WOOPS there goes your gold mine tower. But if three random demigods come down one side, that means that when I go to xp flag off the break, I take it, I'll then go to the mana flag, kill a creep wave and get another flag. I'm level 2 now. then I'll go help my allies at the HP flag while all 3 of you are at level 1, except for maybe the heavens wrath guy who could b

Cat: Rook: boulder, narrow lanes for towers, farm center at level 7, kill both creep waves, get trebuchet at level 8 and work their towers while holding the xp flag, killing all creeps for massive xp + gold so you get fast level 10. Put gold into cit upgrades. Auto attack reg with proper build: turn on wand of speed, enemy is dead, all you need to do is right click Erebus: early lane dominance, late game bat swarm portal ninja'ing Leviathan: Reg: snipes

Surge is nasty. Surge a lane, cap mid, surge other lane, run back and forth haha. Once you get surge 2 you basically are a leveling machine. Just one small perk of playing oak

Since there's usually 1 general on my team at some point or another, I get priests when the enemy does.... not 1 minute later, not 1 minute earlier..... unless its a pwn fest and we got like 10k gold from people rushing too far into towers. Perhaps if you drop the enemy towers super fast, going for priests could be a huge advantage. They can't hide behind towers to hold a lane, and you can push up and get heals ontop of your general's priests.

How much xp do you get for a win? How much XP do you lose for a loss? Do you get more xp for beating stronger players? Do you lose less xp when losing to stronger players? Do you lose more xp when losing to weaker players? That's the most important stuff. If some guy plays 18 games a day as a premade against pugs and gets a high ranking off of it, then the ladder is still broken. If some guy plays 20 games a day. wins 10 and losses ten, yet still
Playground, I read all the posts from start to finish, and I don't think ZehDon was trying to be condescending at all, right up until you called him out. Rather, it appears as if you've misread his post according to your personal opinion of his character. The underlined quote, This has been mentioned before in several dedicated topics. does not appear [to me] to be snide, but rather addresses the fact that more information and debate on t

I've wondered the same thing. Played a few games where the 3 enemy TP at once... sim speed drops. i can't press anything, yet i'm getting attacked by the 3 enemy while they cast spells, use items, etc. i don't think its necessarily on purpose. Maybe blame the net code? I'm not sure. but yeah, youtube "lag switch" the device is real and its something you can make at home for a few bucks. But I dunno if anyone is actually using this in DG.

*sigh* the high and mighty defense: "I treat nice people like nice people, and morons like morons. If you're being treated as a moron, it's more your fault than mine." I snapped at you because of what you said to the original poster : "This has been mentioned before in several dedicated topics.
My only suggestion is Orb of Defiance, and play tower gaurd strat. And make sure your team has TP scrolls for counter gank or lane switch. TB would be ok for tower defense, as long as they go frost. Me personally Like QoT in this situation if your playing her as tank/support. Bubble can make such a huge difference.
I like your idea. Only problem is then you give them map control. Which leads to war score. Also, if you're sitting n

To put this into perspective for gamers who play other games, but haven't encountered this in demi god yet. it looks like this. Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne: A human player has 3 mountain kings (impossible but bear with me) bolt, clap, bolt, clap, bolt, clap............ you're dead Or, you're playing a 3v3. Team is 3 undead players with death knight, lich, crypt lord. Impale, coil, nova, impale, coil, nova, impale, coil, nova................ you're dea

No, because if the rook misses, you have to deal with charm and grasp, and boulder cooldown will be back shortly after both spells are cast and finished. Since the erebus has bat swarm and charm, he can effectively stun you from great distances. Giving beast time to walk up and grasp. If boulder misses, I guess you could say "then interrupt the charm." Problem with the charm is you select penitence / pounce / interrupt of your choice, and click on erebus. He's now teleporting, the game doesn'
