You can try using MyColors to reset your icons. Make sure your default installation folder settings in Impulse didn't get messed up. Click the blue menu button, and to to 'Preferences'. Under the 'Folders' option, check the 'Install Locations' for 'My Games' and make sure it isn't 'C:\'

First, make sure any security software you may have has Impulse as an exception. If all else fails, try temporarily disabling it to see if it helps. Then, try restting your Impulse data: -Click the blue menu button in the upper left -Choose 'Preferences...' -Click the 'Reset Data' button -Close impulse and relaunch it. Your best bet might be to use Impulse Anywhere ( http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com/ ). If you purchased the game from a retailer, you'll need to register the game through Impulse to your account on the Internet enabled computer first. Once you've done that, log into the site, download the files, and then you can transfer them to the other computer, and install it from there.

I've never actually seen this particular problem before (TV as a monitor, etc), but you can try setting it to run in Windowed mode to see if that helps.
