Too bad stardock has too grab its ideas from other sites or poeples freely distibuted work. You should stop trolling the neowin boards and come up with something unique. The website looks like themexp and the dock is just a rip of Y'z dock. Just the same as the other trends for weeks here where you would see a skin (even a port) in neowin then run to make it for the stardock machine. It was bad enough B

MessiahWWKD.. very good point. Guess I missed that price difference.
Correct a hole in there theme .dll? You mean like Internet explorer being proprietary to the windows install? I don't think microfsoft has the right to stop anyone from customizing there OS or the developers of. That sounds like a monopoly. That would be the same as saying we won't alow WB to load or be installed.. or making there themes proprietary. Im only assuming. Just doesn't sound right. ID's map tools are free.. they are open source. Hence more third party involvement but the ori
Wow peff, your inforcing the rumor that every mornning Brad Wardell wakes up and utters the same phrase; "Nobody rides for free!"
That's a lot better then what I thought. Still doesn't help me, somone "Thinking of switching" from StyleXP which is free too WB but wanted to make a skin but it's limited to being without widgets etc. Maybe it sounds bad but I can't figure out why anyone would charge extra for dev tools that result in an end product that could possiblly increase its revenue. Maybe i'm just stoned.
Not again what... did you read my post? Who said anything about bandwidth?
So I see there is a public shareware version... is it the correct assumption that the Proffesional version has more features too create even better skins? Why would charge for that... it's like if ID were too charge me for tools too make maps for their game... the maps only help the game prosper therefore increasing thier revenue. What is the difference here? Don't you want kick ass skins for Windowblinds?
If you get these following themes in Windowblinds I'll buy it. http://www.studio-28.tk/ Infact if weren't it for "Milk", being a port or not... I wouldn't use stylexp. Most of the greatest things come from a mac. Ports need too be done. I can back it up with a screen shot too. Window blinds only had one true theme I like and it was something called dark reign I belive. Also, I love desktop x... but it seems developers don't want too push the edge. It's basically boring. I o
Never thought I would see the day where the clique would get so bad that someone would talk about Forgboys favorite subject (Money and the internet) and Jafo's favorite car(Aston Martin) like they were there own. Joe... your a great and nice guy but please open the window you need some air:)
Then you can contact wincustomize.com for ripping off trademarks:) Not that the windows logo or apple logo were created by the same type of artist you want too protect, or in your mind the laws. Flame away.
Yeah, it does say alot about society. Welcome too capitalism.
Who will afford this attourney fee? Wincustomize?
Maybe they should release the music for free...or very cheap and rely mainly on packing stadiums...like in the old days. Used too be that an artist had too actually have talent to get a label..now its labels in search of mostly gimicks. Most musicians will tell you that they generate the majority of there income from playing live... course that would suck for 85% of the crap released that can't generate an audience...is that a huge loss?
Guess my view on it is that the material offered here is user created putting it under copyright laws. I understand the theory of "bandwidth", and a serious issue is the question of, "How do we pay for this bandwidth?" I really don't see what the goal is though. If this is a stardock funded site then it should be a write-off for the promotion of stardocks software. I think you have gone one further and have now focused on making the site turn a profit. Is this a win, win situation at the expence
How is profiting from artist creations a service? You mean the bandwidth? Do you charge or have an upload cap? You'll have to excuse me but I find it hard too believe that you're not selling content... its not like this is slashdot where news is the content and that news being written by yourself or exclusive videos and interviews at gamespot....this is other people works.
