Konichi wa, Good day, from an ex-pat drifter now in Japan. I think that I may have posted my last game, at least for a while. I will be interested to see how fast my score drops off. Thanks for the long post. It is interesting to see how differently we play. The beauty of the game is the variety and richness of the system. Whether you play as a beginner or at the maso. level, there are just so many ways to approach each outing. I used to play a bit like you, though not as well.

In response to post #14 above, combining terror stars into a fleet of two or more, and giving them military speed increases and/or stellar wake modules will not increase their speed. I just tried this in my last game, and they still move one space per turn.

Hmmm. I did not get a jump of 110,000 points after I was in 31st place. I don't see similar jumps posted after some 15 minutes of searching. I seem to go up about 11,000 after every 60K game is posted. I broke my foot last week, and, with time off from work, decided to try to make the first page of Metaverse. In some ways, I was hoping for a big jump in points, but it never happened. I slowly went up the ladder and just hit #25. I did get the former #3 medal, but never got the points. I am

The forum is not dead for me either, but it is a bit slow. I am always behind the times. Seems I wait four years after a game hits the streets to play it, but once I dive in, I am unable to quit. One of my top 5 favorites of all time is Reach for the Stars, which I played on the Apple IIgs (1989?).
