All civs have a default ideology they will follow (for the most part) when they are controlled by the computer. Just tried a small test and my ideology is properly displayed. Not sure why it is not correct in your case. What DLC do y

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. I have verified that there is something wrong when playing as a synthetic civilization without the Crusade expansion and have added it to the bug list for someone to take a look a it. Thank you for your patience and patronage.
The wheel was removed and replaced with the citizen system. The tax slider should appear in sandbox games. Are you playing the campaigns? They follow the rules that where when they released.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. We need to know you have worked through all relevant topics here on the FAQ: https://forums.galciv3.com/486601/sins-of-a-solar-empire-rebellion-support-faq Thank you for your patience and patronage.
Your best chance would be to make a ticket to support and explain the situation. https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit
Well, from your explanation the problem appears to be that it is a pirated copy. I suggest getting the legit version by buying it.
V2.3 is ancient. And what do you mean by "got from a buddy"?
Thx y'all! rn I'm playing as an off-brand synthetic, so I can't recreate it yet. I will try to do so asap. Where should I post the saves/contact the devs? Also, how do I find the save file to share it?
Just upload it to a file sharing site and post the link here. Sorry to hear you are having trouble. If you have a savegame where this is reproducible it would help a lot if you uploaded it to a cloud service (DropBox, Google Drive, One Drive) and post a link here, the developers can take a look at it. Savegames are located in \Documents\My Games\GC3\Saves or \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade\Saves Thank you for your patience and patronage
Another possibility is a 3rd party program interfering, like an anti-virus. Try whitelisting Steam and GC3 with any such program you have.
Click on my name on the forums and select private message to send the link. However, if it's not reproducible there is not much I can do about it, but I will take a look at the save.

I loaded your savegame and could not replicate the problem. I managed to progress several turns, entered the research screen multiple times. There are some icons of planetary improvements missing. Are you using any mods? I suggest verifying integrity of game files.
I've tried reproducing it on my end and graphics settings changes are being remembered. Go to Documents\My Games and verify if the folder GC3Crusade doesn't have read-only selected and also check on the Prefs.ini file in it. Is it only some of the graphics settings that aren't being remembered or those this apply to all?
Someone has been assigned to look over the crash report. I have nothing else to share at this time.
While it could be made clearer, one is for ships and the other is for starbases.
Most likely. I replayed the mission today and finished it without problems. The save would have to be before the problem occurs so we can tell what went wrong. Also did you take the planet by invasion or culture flip?
You wouldn't happen to have a savegame before you captured the Guild planet?
Well this is odd. What DLC do you have and which version are you playing on? Are you using any mods? Edit: Oh, and what resolution are you playing on?
Thank you for the file, I have logged this into our system for someone to look at it.
Go to the folder Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade and rename or delete Prefs.ini If that doesn't work try renaming the entire GC3Crusade folder to something else like OldGC3Crusade
Couldn't replicate this on my end. Try verifying integrity of game files.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. It would help if we could see what's in your debug.err file, it is located in \Documents\My Games\GC3 or \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade If you could upload it to a cloud service (DropBox, Google Drive, One Drive) and post a link here, the developers can take a look at it. Thank you for your patience and patronage.
Glad to hear it is working for you now.
