Could you try this and see if it fixes it for you? It worked for someone else.
My guess that it is either not downloading all the files that you need from Intrigue or one or more of the data binaries didn't download correctly. You can force the data binaries to rebuild from the downloaded xml by deleting the RebuildData.ini file from the GC3Crusade folder. If that doesn't work, you're probably missing files regardless of what the verify files finds and you may need to

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. If you could upload a savegame to a cloud service (DropBox, Google Drive, One Drive) and post a link here, the developers can take a look at it. Savegames are located in \Documents\My Games\GC3\Saves or \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade\Saves Thank you for your patience and patronage.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. It would help if we could see what's in your debug.err file, it is located in \Documents\My Games\GC3 or \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade And if we could check the custom faction directly, it is located in \Documents\My Games\GC3\Factions or \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade\Factions If you could upload them to a cloud service (DropBox, Google Drive, One Drive) and post a link here, the developers can take a
Yea I tried using the spoiler tag function to avoid exactly that but it's not working and I can't figure out why, that's why I asked for help with it. Hopefully Rhonin or someone at Stardock will help so that I can edit and compress that post.
Spoiler doesn't compress, it just hides the text. The easiest method would be upload the file somewhere else and post a link here. [quote who="The_Tourist" reply="8" id=

Glad to hear it was fixed for you, Rockman. The_Tourist, what I suggest you do is excluded your steamapps folder from any anti-virus/security programs that you have running and run Steam as an admin. Then validate integrity of files for GC3.

Could you please upload your debug.err file, it is located in \Documents\My Games\GC3 or \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade, to a cloud service (DropBox, Google Drive, One Drive) and post a link here. There's something I want to check.

I just stared a game with the Thalans using the opt-in patch and the tech is there. You can use the search function to look for it. If it's not appearing for you kindly open the debug.err file, located in \Documents\My Games\GC3 or \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade, and check the first line what the version and build number you have.

That's normal, those files are changed when starting the game and when Steam validates it sees that they are different. What I suggest to try is go to steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\Tools and run EverythingButCampaignData.bat
