Yeah sure. Because the man at the gas station promised the price wont change... [e digicons] The Problem is, that Stardock promised something and then broke word. It is the loss of trust that is the problem. I doubt the $100 founders (i am one) are the ones complaining here. The others are and with right. They didnt invest $45 because the game is worth it right now, but because they belie
I have (for the most part, moments of GC3 weakness) avoided playing the beta until my favorite parts of the game - custom races - are released. Am I to understand that this time of tribulation will soon be over? In other words, is this the next beta update?
Yes. It will be released sometime in March.
Ironclad went solo on this one. It is available on the Steam store.
A tad unrelated, but here's another RTS from Stardock: Ashes of the Singularity . It will focuses on large scale battles and will use the Nitrous engine.

Heads up, the official site was updated with new info. Looks interesting, but sadly I have too many games to play as it is. Will likely wait until it is released.
Are you playing on a laptop? It sounds to me like it's overheating. The same thing happened to me on my laptop, I cleaned it's fans and added thermal paste and no longer encountered that problem.
It's a sale on all GalCiv games, not just 3. It's Steam, games go on sale all the time, also the game was also half off in December. The tentative release date is May, previous was April, small delay was because Brad wanted more time to work on the AI. And the game was fully funded from the beginning. Also a statement from Brad:
I saw Galactic Civilizations III on Steam on discount even though it's still in early access. We have re
The tentative release date is late April or early May.
Yes and yes.

I await more info, but I'm getting a MOBA vibe from the concept art.

I believe what Larsenex is asking is if we can select a minor faction as a major.
it's more of a curiosity than concern, how is the race's homework pq determined. I'm laying in bed on my phone, but iirc some races have a 10 & 4-5 while the yor have a +15(?). The screenshots have homeworld name and no indications that I could see about that.
They stated in the stream that you would be able to customize the homeworld, it's just not implemented yet.
I believe it was mentioned in a stream, Thulium is a strategic resource with which they were playing with internally and forgot to remove the code from the public version.
In GC2 several civilizations had super abilities that gave them the ability to colonize some extreme planets from the start. Super Adapter (Iconian Refuge) Can colonize Aquatic and Toxic worlds at the beginning of the game. Super Annihilator (Korath Clan) Can build a Spore ship, which turns defenseless colonies into toxic worlds owned by you. Can colonize Toxic worlds at the beginning of the game. Super Isolationist (Yor Collective)
XCOM: Enemy Unknown was released in October 2012, Enemy Within was released in November 2013, versions for Linux and SteamOS were released in June 2014. I'd hardly call that abandoned. Firaxis is probably busy with Beyond Earth and Starships at the moment, if the new XCOM was profitable a sequel will be made. In the mean time I suggest playing other games, or try the Long War mod.
