ctrl-alt-del...make sure Wfxload. exe isn't running. Just to help in what direction you need to go to unload WB4 in system tray or start menu and see what happens. There's something running in the background and all's we need to do is find it

I like a guy not faint of heart...disable anti-virus proggie and scan for Windows updates. Install 811943 and reboot on prompt. If it starts up and runs, fine...if not, disable anti-virus and uninstall thru control panel/add/remove programs and reboot on prompt. One or both of these should work...if I hear gunfire I'll know it didn't. What ever you do don't give up we're on the right track. <img src="http://images.star

Transitions and Transparency effects take a real toll on graphic cards. Configure FX not to load on startup and then unload FX. Leave it off until you're sure that's the problem.

Beninati try 1 more thing before you wipe your system....go to Windows Update and scan for updates. It should show 811493 again in Recommended updates.
