I thoroughly enjoyed Majesty 2 despite its disappointing lack of "sim" aspects compared to the original - Ardania surely has charm, so I welcome more games set in this universe, especially a MoM inspired one Warlock is shaping up to be. I honestly hope it lives up to the expectations (and so does Fallen Enchantress, by the way).

Am I to understand the Impulse team was just forced to halt the work on Impulse Reactor? I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out Gamestop deemed the project "unnecessary" or even "utterly pointless", hence the sudden appearance of Steamworks titles on Impulse.
Quoting Frogboy, reply 221 I'm sorry but that's nonsense. The contracts with Impulse with regards to Star Ruler don't change simply because Impulse, Inc. has a different stockholder. If he wants to remove his game, we can certainly grant him that. But I know that Gamestop is very interested in promoting indies. Name one time in modern, relevant history Gamesto
Dear fans of the adventure genre, please do yourselves a favour and buy Gray Matter plus Edna&Harvey. You'll thank me later. On a side note, Heroes of Might and Magic VI is not a Steamworks title (now available on Impulse, NA only unfortunately). I was honestly getting worried it would be.
Impulse::Reactor is still in development and we haven't had the developer resources to dedicate to it because those resources last year were directed at increasing Impulse's scale to handle the volume of users. It has been quite some time since Brad last posted any information in regard to Reactor v2 and I'm honestly wondering why that is the case. Lack of interest? Is it available or still WIP? Are Stardock doing some advertising "in the industry" behind the scenes? Secretly plotting and scheming to take over the world?

You will need the 1.2 patch, a hex editor, a program to verify md5sums, and a specific cracked exe. I cannot tell you where to find any cracks, and I dont condone their use. However, JoWood has not offered any support for this issue since it came to light years ago, and I dont know of any other permanent solution.
Wh

As it's been mentioned already, Steam being popular is not a problem. Games being exclusive to Steam are. What state is Impulse::Reactor currently in, both in terms of functionality and overall "interest" from third parties? It might seem that gog.com is about to disappear, but I suggest that you calm down. It's a downright ridiculous PR stunt, I honestly do not know whose bright idea it was... It's a secret de Polichinelle that an online press conference will be held on Wednesday/Thursday - gog has gone out of beta phase.

What was so "amazing" about that boring, dumbed down System Shock 2 rip-off (apart from the art direction, which admittedly was pretty solid)? I'm genuinely curious.
Looking good indeed, though the tactical battle was definitely the weakest part of the presentation. I do not wish to complain, but what's the point of introducing squads if a single soldier does the dirty job while the remaining squad-mates bravely watch him shedding his blood from a safe distance? I do understand each soldier is meant to protect tile borders, but it looks pretty ridiculous.
X-Com, obviously. Frankly, I'd also love Stardock to create a turn based, squad-focused tactical combat game in the vein of Jagged Alliance 2 and Silent Storm... revolving around covert operations behind enemy lines during WWII... gosh, one can dream, right?
