"click to play", again, is about plugins. if you don't want to see ads, use ad blockers. as they block these ads, it does not even matter whether those are Flash, MP4, Silverlight or Ogg. they get blocked, you will have nothing to click on for "click to play". as i use ad blockers, i do not even have an idea how these evil, blinking HTML5 banner ads, you are talking about, look like. for me using an outdated browser is like driving without a seat belt. m

i don't think it really matters for things like cursors or WindowBlinds skins, but cropping is a really bad idea to present wallpapers. it would be better to add white borders to the preview, should it not have 4:3 format (i.e. almost all). the filesize would also be smaller then, imagine all the bandwidth dollars saved.
