these are the moments, i want that "edit" button.

looks like there will be an alternative soon check the BlueBox site for a wip screenshot. http://bluebox.lokai.net/
oops, sorry ... just noted the noticed the changes. silly me.
nah, just kidding. just reporting a bug on this website: http://www.windowblinds.net/xp/wb3advantages.html scroll down the page and see two preview images. Case 1: Windows XP by default: http://www.windowblinds.net/xp/without.jpg Case 2: WindowBlinds 3 added: http://www.windowblinds.net/xp/with.jpg
i´d actually like to compete in this contest i want tabbing available for projects. understand what i mean? i don´t hope so, this would be one of my main ideas how about some rules?
THIS IS NOT FOR COMPUTER NOVICES!!! be sure you know what you are doing BEFORE you do it. you actually do not need a program for this. remove the programs that show an icon in your system tray from your start-up folder and the registry. load the programs with a script (a batchfile would be the most simple solution). Startup Control Panel (freeware) by Mike Lin shows you which programs load at startup. it also has options for savely disabling programs for experimenting. http://w
yersions? versions!
is that an XP-related problem? on older yersions of windows you just drag the taskbar to the top edge.
typography often looks excellent on vector wallpapers or wallpapers done by illustrators. but as the wallpapers here seem to be 90% 3d i can see your point. on the other hand why complaining about something you get for free just search a little harder.
how about the GPL thing? as i said above, redistributing and modifying is allowed, but still requires credit. also the derivative artwork needs to be put under the GPL as well. link to the GNU Public License: http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html the Linux logon by Jesse https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?authorid=13155 is using a penguin by Everaldo Coelho http://www.everaldo.com/crystal/ there is no credit, neither in the description nor in a readme file. als
how are the policies on Linux artwork that was released under the GPL? modifying and redistribution is allowed by the GPL but still requires credit given to the original author.
ok, just looked at the logons and spotted a rip on the first site. eRic by O Belenenses https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?authorid=367702 is ripping this artwork by Jake Parker (agent44) http://www.agent44.net/artwork/eric2.jpg Jake´s website: http://www.agent44.net
hey James, no need to put down your skinning skills, actually your Rainlendar skin is one of the most complete around, and the alpha blending is sweet. needless to say there are a lot of apps that are much easier to skin. there is a little bug though (in Rainlendar, not your fault). when you apply images with the skinning gui, it will write hardcoded paths to Rainlendar.ini file. this makes the sk
as i said above, if Outlook writes that info into a text file (TXT, LOG, INI, HTML or whatever) label.dll can read it.
i am not using Outlook. this would be possible if Outlook writes the stuff you want to read into a text file, so label.dll can read it.
this has happened to me a few weeks ago (although some bitmaps are unchanged). mine: http://www.deviantart.com/view.php?id=392186 other: http://www.deviantart.com/view.php?id=540663 we cleared this the friendly way. he gave me credits after i noticed him about that.
i think the point is to create something that can not be done in any software yet so the point is not to submit a theme but one or more fake screenshots. it will be really hard to "invent" something new. if i look at the comments above, hotkey and vwm features seem very limited in DesktopX, but they aren´t in other software (seems like payware isn´t that "superior"). OSX wasn´t that new. the Finder toolbar comes from the old MacOs and the Dock comes from NEXT. also one can use
sounds like the Enlightenment pager, the the rabidvwm.dll module for LiteStep or DVWM. it is already here
do a little search at virtualplastic.net . they have links to sites with startup-screen libraries.
i don´t think this is possible. Hoitmail uses a proprietary format and Microsoft does not document this, what makes it extremely hard for coders.
thanks Renato. APB is a top notch skinner, so i am sure the quality will be very good, but i was more intersted by the name of the author of the original. i gave up WindowBlinds, because Illumination is the better way for me, so i´ll have to port this myself when i like it (there aren´t too many Illumintion skinners around)
really curious about what Treetog was talking about. must be impressive. could you tell us who the author of the original is?
have you heard of Google.com ? a search for radiohead skins will bring you 100s of results. begin here: http://lesrode.online.fr/zic/radiohead/skins/
you won´t be the first that does things better and faster than Microsoft itself wonder why that shellstyle.dll is such a big problem as StarDock is always promoting their good relationships with Microsoft ...
have you ever tried StarDock software as ObjectBar or DesktopX?
