i am currently doing a LiteStep dock that runs on top of explorer (or any other shell). smooth 32 bit PNG animations with layercut.dll. (abusing DesktopX zoomer objects btw.) at the moment it is only an app launcher, but as soon as everything works, i´ll include winamp3 remotes, an analog clock, that "Home" object and some other goodies. final goal is to get a least the functionality of Deadzombie´s docks.

nearly all of my favorite music (dancehall reggae) is released on vinyl before it gets pressed on cds (months later and by far not all tunes). i wonder how this digital rights stuff will work there. anybody got a clue?

because it will probably be full of rips soon. and ripped fonts will cause a lot of more trouble than, lets say a ripped Winamp skin. also there is not really a need for this. there are plenty of excellent font libraries on the net.

first check the parameters defined for grdTray (that´s what you need the grdTray docs for). you will find those parameters either in the step.rc file or in an other file that has been attached to step.rc with the Include command. then search the equivalent parameters (position, size, wrap count, ...) for systray2 (in the lsdocs) replace LoadModule ...\grdtray3.dll (or grdtray.dll) with LoadModule ...\systray2.dll now define the paramete

Mozilla has a menu entry to get new skins. also Deskmod.com has a nice growing section for Mozilla. and nah, Mozilla ain´t a Netscape beta. Mozilla is Open Source, that´s why Netscape can build it´s own distribution from the Mozilly code.

OSX is not Linux, it´s BSD. Apple probably has gone this way, because BSD is even more stable and the BSD lisense allows derivative code to be closed source. OS/2 and BeOS are pretty dead, although a new BeOS version has leaked the last few months when i remember the news at Desktopian right. a Mac would be spiffy, as it can run *NIX software as well, but as i do not have huge amounts of money, i would use Linux or BSD (hell i use it already about 30% and growing). only problem

that wasn´t nice Frogboy at least it got inactive states, clikcable buttons and a drop shhadow on the title, hehe ah, at least i tried. maybe i´ll give it another shot when i upgrade my OS (fingers crossed SkinStudio will work then).

better get litespeak.dll (LiteStep speaks) and VoiceX.dll (Speech recogniton). so you can have a nice converstion with your computer and get rid of all that 20st century stuff as keyboard, mouse and monitor

you are right. i included something similar (not UIS1 probably, but stripped to the bone) in my Mas Siemple HoverDesk theme. http://www.deskmod.com/core.mod?show=showskin&skin_id=12677 . i saw no point releasing the WindowBlinds skin alone, so it is just a little extra goodie for the people that read the theme description or explore the theme folder. i doubt anyone uses it though

forget i asked about that. just downloaded the pre-alpha version of bwm (released today) and am drooling. still has a way to go, but it wont be that long. it actually works pretty good so no reason to rip on StarDock, you did NOT disencourage freeware/Open Source developers.
