The shot in reply 59 is actually mine. I somehow managed to log on to my old account which I even forgot about having and uploaded this before I realized what was going on.

Right on Tim.
I read most post here but not everyone so I may be lacking a little info from other post. I will say that I am using Windows 8.1 64bit and use ObjectDock. I just did a test to determine if |I suffer from the same fate and added 2 different 64bit program shortcuts to the dock from Start 8. Both shortcuts worked fine. I also use the start menu docklet with no problem and I also use the system tray icon feature with no problem. I am not saying that there are no issues with Objectd
Stopping the service works for me. Actually I set the service to manual and reboot. Then when I want Start 8 I start it in services. Do it from control panel though.
Thank you basj.

Link is ok. I tried different things from running with no add-ons, doing a an IE reset and using an IE repair tool. Nothing fixed the problem. I read that there are other people experiencing this and it happened after an IE 11 update. I might try uninstalling the last update to see if it helps.
I will check that out Philly. Thanks
I never experienced this before but since I decided to hide my taskbar with the show/hide taskbar docklet I have noticed that when I click on the IE icon on the dock it always opens one working instance of IE and another blank page of IE. The blank page stays minimized and I only know it has launched by hovering my cursor over the IE dock icon. I am using IE 11 on Windows 8.1. I do not need reply's about how bad IE and 8.1 are or try another browser. I do use othe
Thanks pal.
Is that a Mac? I ask because it looks like one. Cool screenie.
Not mac Uvah. It is actually a rainmeter skin Called Blackbar. It has a config option for easy editing. You can change color of the bar, icons and so on. I am using the show/hide taskbar docklet for objectdock and the way I have the dock configured I do not need the taskbar. Cheers
Quoting doortech1, reply 5 Snowman seems to think the current skinners are lacking... Not lacking, more unimaginative. Some skins/skinners do break the stride, but basically most skins are just "boxes" with varying color combos. I admit that I am a massive oldschool skinosaur, and yes I miss the good old days where almost all skins submitted were different from the previous ones. I've never understood
And make sure you have all three boxes checked, use texture color, Apply to color and apply to grey.
Thanks everyone, much appreciated. [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e]
