Bravo! Well Done. [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e] Great start panel and great colors.
Quoting doortech1, reply 5 Snowman seems to think the current skinners are lacking... Not lacking, more unimaginative. Some skins/skinners do break the stride, but basically most skins are just "boxes" with varying color combos. I admit that I am a massive oldschool skinosaur, and yes I miss the good old days where almost all skins submitted were different from the previous ones. I've never understood
And make sure you have all three boxes checked, use texture color, Apply to color and apply to grey.
Thanks everyone, much appreciated. [e digicons][/e] [e digicons][/e]
"Really a sharp desktop JC !!!! [e digicons]B)[/e] " agreed... Thanks a bunch. [e digicons][/e]
Ken and syd, thanks. From the heart. I used supposedly free clip art via Google image search for free clip art. I didn't bother examining all the TOU's because the images are partially covered, and no one's using them for commercial gain. I do want that clear. While the collage is my work, the images themselves are not. I only did this to help you crystallize ideas and to encourage folks to play with graphics and Photos
That got it Doc. I have a friend that can check it out but I think you did a great job. I owe you one.
Doc I think you got it. The only thing I might change is moving the Restore up or moving Renovate down so there is even space between the words. Sorry, I am not only a perfectionist with my work but with my advertising too.
And...you didn't tell me your thoughts regarding the word 'Rapid' in the sign. If you want it to stand out more, not a problem. I'll just add an adjustment layer. I would say leave it out, I think it is to many R words. I like the second color better too. Are you able to add a drop shadow to the letters so they will stand out more? I think the light colors blend in with the background so perhaps a black drop shadow would help. Thanks Doc. I know you are wo
"you are Canadian. you probably don't get the full dose of propaganda because your country doesn't really matter from a global perspective." OK if you say so, lol
I don't know people. I think some of you make sense but lets face it, the Olympics is hardly the only event one can find fault with. I can list a page full of stuff that happens far more often then once every 4 years. This is somewhat different but as an example as much as I enjoy our national sport hockey I don't agree with the salary's the players make. I mean is anyone really worth multi million dollar contracts for playing a sport a few months out of the ye
Something else I considered was Sir Fix-a lot, Set Square Home repairs, On the level Home Repairs and Mr. Mendit.
Reduced 27%Original 1065 x 1600 should have added... No sharks.. only Crooks...
lol, That slogan was one I was going to use as a business name at the beginning of all this except it was going to be Unbendit and Mendit Home Repair's
Something I just thought of Doc, What if you made the sign more wide? If I get magnetic sign it would probably be wider anyway. Maybe the longer names would not look as bad. Or I can just change it to something else which I have no problem doing. How come you can't delete a double post? You can only edit.
Thank you starkers and SS. Doc you are right. There are a lot of letters there. I thought I could abbreviate Residential but Res. won't work. Back to the drawing board.
Something I just thought of Doc, What if you made the sign more wide? If I get magnetic sign it would probably be wider anyway.
I like to watch the bobsleds... the luge and skeleton are also pretty crazy to watch as well.
Those are good. Short Track Speed Skating can get crazy at times too with the shoves and falls.
@ doortech1 those are clever. No doubt some would use those but I decided I wanted to leave Crooks out of the name. @ Doc I would like to use something with reliable in the name. How does Reliable Residential Repairs sound? Does that sound to much like what is being offered as apposed to a business name?
Just watched Canada beat the USA in women's hockey. Gold 4 times in a row, yahooooooooooooooo!
Have Hammer - Will Fix-It Home Repair
lol, That is how I see some repair things. Just give me a hammer, lol. Thanks Hankers
Since I save my .psd files, it shouldn't be all that hard to change the text...if you want.
Yes that would be great Doc. I am dragging my feet with the name because I want to get it right the first time.
Well...you'd want something friendly...perhaps the house/tools and background with a 'flat' type house having a 'smile' on it? I'll try doing a couple of mock ups...not in a shield design...rather as a panel magnet or letter logo...and a 'friendlier font. Better?
I like the one on the left Doc. I can see myself using that o
Just concepts...
Doc those are really good. I think there is something there but my question is are they a little too cartoony to be taken serious? I am not saying they are but that I just don't know.
"Fix It Felix" ( I watch too many kids movies)
I like this too.
