Uvah should not the text on the left be slanted in the opposite direction? Your text on the right slants into the smx while the text on the left slants away from it.

BigDogBigFeet you are not alone with this. I noticed a week ago that I can only get to 7% and then I get the same error message as you do. I tried to run it because I suspected my system was a little wonky with all the GUI theming crap I had been doing. I just ended up deleting some of the suspected files and restoring some of the system 32 files I had backed up. My machine is running great with nothing found with various malware and virus scans but I still cannot do sfc. Even though I feel t

Thank you Uvah and Chasbo. Glad you guys liked it. 2of3 I have used the Ubuntu blind and its also one of my favorites. I am not sure what the differences would be between Gnome and Ubuntu but the skin pack I am using is a darker skin, almost charcoal grey I would say. In any case a Gnome blind would be awesome.

Nope Jim. Just using Gnome skin pack. Would have used a Gnome blind if there was one like this. The cool thing about the skin pack is that it installs several things to make it act just like Ubuntu including that fancy 3d window thingy and yes it is a safe download. I am not promoting it though with a download link because I still love my blinds.

I thought that I would get in on the action with something a little different. I always wanted to be able to utilize my taskbar better so I made a mod of a rainmeter skin and call this Taskbar Informer. Hope the name has not been used.
Quoting JuniorCrooks, reply 18It was the damn cable. Yes....you forgot to plug it in, dincha? ...
Funny! Actually I suspected having a wonky cable so I went to the local dollar store and got me one of those cheap retractable cables. On the way out of the parking lot I thought I should probably go to Staples and get a better one. I bought me a 2.1 amp cable that has a cord diameter of about my wife's baby finger. Anyway l

I tried it twice yrag. I turned the phone off and helled the home button and plugged the phone in and rebooted holding the button long after the computer boots up. The phone just stays in recovery mode with the usb and itunes icon showing on the screen. I will give it another go tomorrow. Thanks for your help yrag.

yrag I have tried multiple ways of doing it. I tried turning of the phone by sliding the power off then holding the power and home buttons for 10 seconds releasing the power button and held the home button for another 10 seconds. I tried turning phone off, unconnecting the cable and while holding the home button connecting the cable. After doing that I tried holding the power button and home button until th apple logo appeared. Those are just a couple I can think of but I kno

I highly doubt it LightStar. It is an older phone that was not purchased from them. They will probably just try to sell me a new iphone. thanks for the suggestion though. I just placed an add on kijiji saying I will pay to have it fixed. I am thinking maybe someone that has already synced an iphone on their PC might get it to work. Just a thought I had and not sure it will work.
