Thanks werewolf, I'm running the ObjectBar skin for this theme now. I've done quite a few mods to it and think I just might get the rest of the suite.

Thanks werewolf, I tried that and didn't care for the results. But if you want to give it a go, I'll be first in line for a Beta copy.
I'm currently using the SexPistons WB skin and am curious if any of you master skinners are thinking about making any skins for ObjectBar, NextStart, or Workshelf based on this theme. Thanks
Has anyone here purchased the UniverseMetal skin from Pixtudio, designed by Treetog? I really like the skin and although I'm not a big fan of charging for skins, I'd like to try it before I buy it. For some reason Treetog doesn't reply to emails, which is another reason I'm hesitant on buying this.... no support. Email me if you'd rather.. [email protected] Thanks <img src="http://images.stardock.com/ima
Try right clicking on "download" and then select save to target.
I can't come up with a single reason to have anything with the name Symantic or Norton on my computer. Pure garbage.
Thanks, I got the picture I wanted from the directory the skin was in. It still would be nice to be able to remove it all together though. Thanks again.
Need to know how to remove/disable user pic on start menu.. so I can get the full effect of skin. Any ideas? I assume it is a XP issue and not Stardock.
J2TT X - Go back to third grade, and this time pay attention.
Bill...and others.... just because a program is "faster" doesn't mean it isn't a resource hog. I'm not saying WB is or isn't a resource hog, but your argument that WB is "quite fast" or "speedy" is meaningless against a debate about resources.
I should clarify something. When I signed up to become a "citizen" of this website, there were some problems activating my account so I signed up again and my user name was already in the system and I had to use a new user name. Hence, dbackfan and YMark are the same person (me). I had dbackfan logged in at home and YMark logged in at work. I will go with YMark and change my login when I get home tonight.
Jafo, while I appreciate what you say, I didn't say WB was a "resource drain". I said it doesn't run well and crashes at least once a day (8 hrs). What the reason is, I'm not sure. I'm running WB (unregistered) on Win98 with 64Mb, ample hard disk space. Maybe it's my hardware, maybe the OS, maybe it's WindowBlinds. I'd like to purchase it for my new computer but the "trial version" sure hasn't sold me with its instability.
I'm currently trying to run WB on a Win98 machine. While it does run, it reeks havoc and crashes and locks up my machine at least once a day. The only reason I'm still messing around with it is because I have P4 with 512Mb memory running XP Pro on order. I'm damn glad I haven't purchased it yet or I'd be asking for a refund. NextStart runs well under 98. Sysmetrix, Object Bar, Desktop X, and Hoverdesk all run like crap and crash under Win 98. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images
While I like Object Bar, I've never seen a program lock up and crash a system like this one. I hope the new release is a lot more stable than the previous. FWIW, I'm using in on Window 98.
Topping. Still looking for more info. Thanks
I'm new to this world of skinning, menuing, etc and have been actively researching the web for information. What I would like to know is, what is the difference between WindowBlinds and NextStart? Do these two programs target the same user and do many of the skin designers use both? In other words, are they competing products? If they are, I don't mean any disrespect for this bulletin board by mentioning a competitors product, I'm still learning the ropes on the world of skinning. <
I thought you would be able to get my email from my ID, guess you can't. If you would like to answer my questions, you can email me at [email protected] Thx
How about, "I'm a newbie, what are the files I need to download to get started in using skins?" Also, "if I decide to start developing skins, what software do I need?" One more, "I've download icon files, how do I use them?" As you can tell, I'm a newbie, if you would like to answer these questions please post or email me. Thanks
