can't figure out how to configure it hmm? I can figure them out just fine, thank you. IMO, while they do the job they're intended to do, they have a large footprint and AVG is a better written program. BTW, what does configuring have to do with the fact that they both leave traces of crap all over your system if you ever decide to uninst

Norton and McAfee are resource hogs and leave crap all over your system. AVG is much better. Come to think of it, anything with the name Norton or Symantic are resource hogs and would never be installed on any computer I own. [Message Edited]

Thanks ChasUGC and Hus. I used the help from both of you. I used IconExplorer to extract the icons and IconXP to do the conversion. I then went into Photoshop and did the final edit. I'm still trying to figure out this Sysmetrix theme stuff. I had to take the 16x16 icon and make one 64x16 icon in Photoshop. The 64x16 icon is just 4 of the 16x16 in a single row. I'm not sure why Sysmetrix works this way. Thanks again for the help.

I've seen several Sysmetrix skins that use the "Interactive Buttons" option, where a user can execute a program. I'm trying to build one myself and can't figure out how people are extracting the Icon associated with a particular program and get this "icon" into a .bmp file to use with the skin. For example, if I look at my file called "PowerDesk.exe" in file manager, the .exe file has an "icon" associated with it. However, there isn't a .ico file. Where is this "icon" coming from and ho

There are 2 types of icons for ObjectDock, true .ico files, and .png files. You can't use PNG for Windows icons. Can someone elaborate on this further? Can you use a .ico file with ObjectDock, and if so, what is the purpose of the .png file? If I'm creating a shortcut for ObjectDock, must I OR should I use a .png file for the icon?

I was changing the transparency of my Object Dock background and changed it so it is completely transparent. Now when I do a right click to add an item, I don't get Object Dock's right click menu. I get XP desktop's right click menu instead. Consequently, I have no way to add new items to my Object Dock. I removed the "Configuration Dock" docklet so I can't use that. Does anyone know how I can open up Object Dock's configuration menu? Thanks

I have 512 meg of memory, running XP. I think paxx and sig101 are on to something. If I shut down Avant, I was able to load the page. This is a nice browser but it definately has some problems. I'm going to give it a try for a few days and then make a decision. Does anyone know of a web page that has Avant Browser discussions? The Avant Browser web page is gone. Thanks again for the help. Mark

I'm trying out the Avant Browser that was mentioned on the news page the other day. I'm finding that it is considerably slower than IE, in fact some pages won't even load on Avant Browser but they load immediately when I use IE. Has anyone else experienced this or know of any fixes. This seems like a nice browser, but at this point I'm going to go back to IE unless this I can solve this problem. Thanks.

Can someone tell me how the "Daily Shot" works? Do you just submit a screen shot of your desktop and hope it gets displayed? Who/how do you submit or email your screen shot? I've looked on this site for answers to the above, but haven't found the info yet. Thanks.
