Its the amount of garrison and trade ships in addition to enormous end game fleets on the ten player maps. Very disappointing, as game optimization was supposed to be enormously better than Sins1 with regard to this exact problem. Note that this applies to ships you see or your empire sees, not particularly what the various AIs are looking at. Im hoping we get the old "small fleet size" option we got in the old game. Additionally, i am hoping that someone smarter than me w

I have convinced Hard AI to ally with me for the specified time limits, but only by offering them absurdly high amounts of credits and resources and the occasional planet. Having played Sins one for..a decade, I took the time to figure out the new game has a similar but semi functional at best system. After you bribe your partner, you can get him to guard or attack planets to some extent, but i found the amount required to onboard an AI to be too staggering for diplomacy to be practical

It took me ten years of playing Sins1 to get the "Get all the artifacts in the game in one match" achievement because it required luck and a huge map, and my computer wasnt nice enough to run huge maps until recently. That particular achievement in the vanilla Sins2 probably requires several matches on huge maps, just like my experience with the old Sins did, AND you should play the biggest maps you can run without winning the match before researching all 200 planets. <

Smugglers Den from Sins1 does indeed suck. Looting Crews, however, works exceptionally well to build an economy AND there is no trade off. When you have the economy sorted, drop the item and exchange it for another. This change does not make sense unless we have AI devs.

I've noticed a lot of yellow marker planets and asteroids captured late in game, presumably after the AI's have exchanged ownership that have no artifact, no planetary extra features, or anything when i eventually take possession of them and have suspected that they initially had an artifact. Overall, Sins2 matches with lots of planets have been really really really crappy with artifacts.

Safety Override Protocol is something i used a lot last night in an 8+ hour match in an effort to try to use the Argonov to actually be useful in a large attack rather than a humongous credit sink. I found it almost worthless. It did not make capital ships blink, didnt bother Vasari or Advent Titans, and that it even didnt have much of an impact on the cruisers and frigates. It just erases strike craft and certainly corvettes...but the radius of the explosion is so narrow th

Greetings, I use Steam, but it is a bit of a struggle. Normally steam games will give me some sort of notice when theres an update, and I see update notes and that something was installed on my machine early yesterday. So ive been playing Sins for...over a decade, new sins has an issue with Marza dive bombing themselves out of the fleet formation into a giant death zerg. Also, Sova is not spamming its lovely missiles at all when I have it clicked into "auto."
