okay, after a very painful (and rather expensive) 3 hour chat session with microsoft, here's the deal. Turning off the Problem reports and solutions doesn't stop werfault from running, it just stops it from sending the info to microsoft. if you want to stop werfault from running, go to services (from the search bar), scroll down to windows error reporting service and double click to open it up. From there, change the startup setting to "disable" and the status to stop.
